Scholarship Details & Eligibility
Award: $1000 toward tuition, books, or program expenses.
Eligibility:
- Current or incoming Shelton State Community College students
- Associated with or plan to work in the Birmingham area and/or Alabama.
- Submit an original ~500-word essay (you may go over)
Essay Prompt
In about 500 words, share how senior care impacts urban Alabama communities and why you believe caregiving is essential to the future of healthcare. Discuss how technology, teamwork, or compassion play a role in providing quality in-home support for seniors in the Birmingham area.
How to Apply
All applications will be reviewed after August 10th. We will email every applicant with an update and announce the winner on August 24th. The scholarship will be paid on August 31st after enrollment is confirmed.
