Homemakers and Home Health Aides (HHA): Home Care Assistance for Veterans
Trained professionals provide personalized care in the home to meet a veteran’s specific needs, including activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, ambulating, incontinence care, medication reminders, as well as light housekeeping tasks like laundry and meal preparation.
Respite Care: Trusted Professional Care for Your Loved One so You Can Take Care of Yourself
Amada Senior Care and the VA understand the toll that taking care of a loved one can take. The VA offers a respite care benefit in an effort to reduce caregiver stress and burnout, and to support the health and well-being of both veterans and their caregivers. With respite care, a family member gets a break by being relieved from everyday caregiving tasks by a trained caregiver. During the respite, the spouse or other family member can take a well-deserved break or attend to other household matters, confident that the senior loved one is in the capable, trusted hands of an Amada caregiver.
