Amada Senior Care Northwest Twin Cities
Greg Getchell, owner of Amada Senior Care Northwest Twin Cities, has learned through his healthcare career as well as his personal experiences that it can be incredibly difficult to find quality in-home and senior care. He is determined to change this for his Minnesota neighbors in the Northwest Twin Cities, Minnetonka, Maple Grove, Andover, White Bear Lake, Shoreview, Blaine, Plymouth, Hennepin County, Edina, and surrounding communities.
As Greg puts it, “I have built a career in healthcare over the last 19 years. More recently, my involvement in the treatment of stroke patients has opened my eyes to the need for quality in-home care. Having witnessed the aging of my parents and my wife’s parents and grandparents has also made me keenly aware that, inevitably, someday we or someone we love will be in need of home care. Through my work at Amada Senior Care Northwest Twin Cities, my mission is to provide you and your loved ones with the best possible senior care.”
To Greg and the rest of our Amada Northwest Twin Cities team, providing quality in-home care requires much more than simply helping a senior or client with basic activities of daily living like cooking and bathing. We believe it is essential that we enrich our clients’ lives on a daily basis. To do this, we get to know each client personally so that we can identify the most meaningful ways to brighten their days. This could mean reading aloud from Grandpa’s favorite book, helping Mom get her hair “just right,” or setting up a time to meet the grandkids at the neighborhood park. We seek opportunities like this because we feel that bringing our clients joy is just as important as helping them stay safe.
In addition to providing superior home-care, we at Amada Northwest Twin Cities also offer senior housing advisory and placement services, financial counseling to help our clients find the best way to pay for care, and even direct advocacy with long-term care insurance carriers. We realize that every family’s journey through senior care is different, and we walk beside them every step of the way—because you’ll never feel alone when you’re part of the Amada Northwest Twin Cities family.

Greg was so very helpful to our family! He was extremely patient and knowledgeable in explaining long-term care insurance policies to our Dad, my sister and me. He guided us through what we needed to do next, what questions to ask, and our options going forward. We are very grateful to Greg for his advice, care and compassion!
Amada was the answer to our prayers in giving my father the care he needed!! Frannie, my dads caregiver was truly amazIng - she went above and beyond in helping my dad through such a difficult time in his life, providing safety and assistance , companionship and kindness, nourishment, relief from worries and stress and hope. My dad was not very enthusiastic about having a care provider initially, but it did not take long for him to embrace the help from the Amada team, who quickly became like family! This team was there for us from the initial connection, through incredibly difficult times when my dads needs intensified and we were faced with tough decisions. My family was so thankful for all our new Amada family was doing!! We could not have made it through this period without them and would choose Amada again and again!! They provide such a variety of support , that I cannot imagine a better choice for anyone looking for care .
This review comes close to a year since my aunt died. She was well cared for by Amada staff and Greg's coordination with hospice made the round-the-clock care she received helpful. Staff was always kind and conscientious. Greg's quick attention to details made us all feel safe and the overall experience is one I will use again, should the situation arise. Kudos to Amada!
