Amada Senior Care Twin Cities

Joe Castle and Greg Getchell
Greg Getchell and Joe Castle, owners of Amada Senior Care Twin Cities, have learned through their professional healthcare careers as well as their personal experiences that it can be incredibly difficult to find quality, in-home senior care or expert guidance on how to pay for home care. They are determined to change this for their Twin Cities Minnesota neighbors in Andover, Blaine, Bloomington, Burnsville, Chaka, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Edina, Lakeville, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, Plymouth, Prior Lake, Saint Bonifacioius, Savage, Shakopee, Shoreview, Waconia, White Bear Lake, and surrounding Twin Cities communities.
Greg and Joe offer a combined 45 years of healthcare industry experience that encompasses post-acute care for seniors who need at-home assistance following a stroke or other neurovascular condition, an orthopedic surgery, or a long-term rehabilitation stay at a skilled nursing facility.
As Greg puts it, “We have built a career in healthcare over decades. More recently, our involvement in the post-acute treatment of stroke patients opened our eyes to the need for quality in-home care. Having witnessed the aging of our own parents and extended family members has also made us keenly aware that, inevitably, someday we or someone we love will be in need of home care. At Amada Senior Care Twin Cities, our mission is to provide you and your loved ones with the best possible senior care through our trained and compassionate caregivers.”
Amada Twin Cities is a veteran-owned company, with Joe having served as a US Navy corpsman. “Our Amada Twin Cities team is proud to assist our veterans and spouses as needed, whether it be in-home care or guidance on VA Aid and Attendance benefits for eligible veterans who can apply for this resource that could cover many of the costs associated with in-home care,” says Joe.
To Joe, Greg and the rest of our Amada Twin Cities team, providing quality in-home care requires much more than simply helping a senior or client with basic activities of daily living like cooking and bathing. We believe it is essential that we enrich our clients’ lives on a daily basis. To do this, we get to know each client personally so that we can identify the most meaningful ways to brighten their days. This could mean reading aloud from Grandpa’s favorite book, helping Mom get her hair “just right,” or setting up a time for Nana to meet her grandkids at the neighborhood park. We seek opportunities like this because we feel that bringing our clients joy is just as important as helping them stay safe.
In addition to providing superior home care, we at Amada Twin Cities also offer senior housing advisory and placement services, financial counseling to help our clients find the best way to pay for care, and even direct advocacy with long-term care insurance carriers. We realize that every family’s journey through senior care is different, and we walk beside them every step of the way—because you’ll never feel alone when you’re part of the Amada Twin Cities family.

Tupee , Mary and Miriam were the best. They connected with Mom. We are so grateful for their help.
GREG: you took my phone call asking about companion care services -- and spent a half hour talking about your company. I was so impressed. Thank You. The description gave me trust in Amada, so I gave the contact info to my sister-in-law who signed up. KAY: Thank you for being such a kind comman central! The only carer who we met was John. He was kind, competent, professional. Although Amada was hired to stop our family member from falling, the benefit turned out to be so much more. We will always take comfort knowing our father had someone with him during the evenings in his last month.
We received the most kind and considerate care for our Dad! This company provided so much help, support and encouragement from the very beginning We had no idea what we were doing and they walked us through the process. Taking all the fear away!
Way to go caregivers! Karen is a rockstar!
This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in Twin Cities is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy and competence.
For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.
