Join Amada Jacksonville on May 10th
for Pickle with a Purpose,
Benefiting the Twilight Wish Foundation

Neeta and Tom Nicholson, owners of Amada Jacksonville, are proud to serve as the title sponsor for the first ever Pickle with a Purpose pickleball tournament to raise funds for the Northeast Florida Chapter of the Twilight Wish Foundation.

Pickle with a Purpose will take place on Saturday, May 10th, at The Yards, 254 Alta Mar Drive, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082. The schedule of events include check-in at noon, followed by the tournament from 1-5 pm, and ending with “drinks after dinks” from 5-7 pm.

Registration is $125 per player (or $240 for a team), with participants receiving swag bags, drink tickets and food truck meals. The Twilight Wish Foundation is a national non-profit organization represented around the country by regional groups such as the Northeast Florida Chapter that grant wishes for seniors in our local communities.

Amada Jacksonville Proud to Serve as First-Ever Title Sponsor
of Vicar’s Landing Charity Foundation Fundraiser ‘Drives & Dinks’

 

In attendance at The Vicar’s Landing Charity Classic 2024 are Neeta and Tom from Amada Senior Care, Tony Boselli (NFL Hall of Famer), and Bruce V. and Bruce J. from The Vicar’s Foundation.

 

The proceeds from this event benefitted:

  • Seniors vs. Crime Project, which provides information about scams and crime prevention programs to educate seniors. In addition, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigates of these crimes against seniors and have helped recover millions for senior citizens in our community.  www.seniorsvscrime.com
  • Lend An Ear, based out of Vicar’s Landing, a group of dedicated audiologists who have committed to providing free examinations and, upon verification of need by diagnosis, volunteer to recast and fit the used hearing aids donated and collected by Lend An Ear to qualified low-income seniors in our area. www.lendanearoutreach.org
  • Pie in the Sky, which delivers fresh healthy and nutritious produce to low-income seniors in St. John’s County. www.pieintheskystjohns.org
  • Meals on Wings, a program to recover food from several locations within the Jacksonville community and repackage the food into healthful meals for needy seniors. Each week, five meals are provided to seniors on the waitlist for Meals on Wheels. www.ozziesprojects.unf.edu

The 2024 Charity Classic Drives & Dinks took place on April 9th with Amada Jacksonville leading the competition and festivities as the title sponsor.

The nonprofit Vicar’s Landing Charity Foundation holds its annual fundraising event to maintain emergency resources for assisting seniors in need and to help support other senior-benefitting community charities in St. Johns County.

Tom and Neeta Nicholson, owners of Amada Senior Care of Jacksonville, were the first Title Sponsor ever in the history of this event and presented the fundraising check to the charities at the awards ceremony following the tournaments.

“We are so honored to be asked to be a part of this amazing charity,” said Neeta, MBA, CNA and Senior Care Advisor at Amada Jacksonville, which was voted Best of Florida 2023 by readers of GuideToFlorida.com.

The charity event offered the option of participating in a golf tournament or a pickleball tournament at The Yards in Sawgrass at Ponte Vedra Beach.

Vicar’s Landing continuing care retirement community in Ponte Vedra Beach addresses every stage of the senior journey, from independent living to assisted living to nursing care.
