This was my first time ever needing a care aid for a family member. The Woodstock Amada admin team contacted me immediately, after I submitted our needs. I was a little overwhelmed at the time, as my mother died during this same time frame. I had to postpone my initial meeting with their team, to go to my moms’ funeral. We moved everything back a week, and I was so impressed with the kindness they showed to me. I returned to a thoughtful card and their condolences. When we did all meet with the team in our home, it was comfortable and thoughtful. My family member wasn’t really feeling the need to have some one “watch” over him, but I knew it would help me to have peace of mind while being gone for a long day. They expressed the values in having someone to drive you to outings, lunch, and grocery stores instead of being by yourself and stuck at home. My family member was pretty blunt about the idea that they were needing to sign us up for their services to build their business. I told my family member that I felt I needed support and help, and they were there to help me as much as to help him. I didnt feel pressure to sign anything, but actually was relieved someone understood my needs too. The admin team has been very responsive with text and emails, and have been extremely helpful in any schedule changes or questions. I can contact them even on a weekend and they respond. The care aids has been communicative, via text with me, whenever I needed. The care aids have been on time and reliable. I believe the entire Amada team of Woodstock cares about my well being and my loved one. They all have been extremely friendly and kind. I would recommend to anyone to meet them in person, and I believe you will experience their genuine warmth and concern for your needs and your loved one. We are going on our 3rd month of care, one or two days a week as needed.
