Rick, Michelle, and Yesenia are fantastic. I have been working with Amada for close to 2 years. First they took care of my step-dad through his cancer journey until he needed hospice care. They now take care of my 88 year old mom who suffers from chronic pain and is going theiugh cancer treatments as well. They REALLY work with you and your schedule as well as individual needs. I highly recommend Amada to take care of your elderly parents. I have peace of mind and know that she is safe.
Rick was amazing to work with – he spent time with my family going over his services as well as helping us navigate through our long term care insurance policy. In my families time of need, Amada Senior Care (Rick and Michelle Hagins) stepped forward like a beacon of hope and offered a steady hand to help my 88 year old uncle transition from being 100% self sufficient to having a caregiver after his heart surgery. Rick was most patient, informative and comforting as our family knew nothing about senior care. Furthermore, uncle was not ready to recognize the need so we had to ask Rick to meet with our family twice before we began working together. We started out with only 3 days with a wonderful young lady. At some point her continued nursing education schedule dictated a change. Enter one incredibly compassionate young man. This particular caregiver is a rare gem and we are so lucky that Amada sent him to us. Eventually, requiring 5 days, Amada found another very kind woman to fill out the week. Rick had advised me during our first meeting that this is a people business and it is dynamic. This simply means that they will strive to make the best fit between client/caregiver(s)/schedules. They have done a great job of this. The peace of mind I have just knowing the Amada Senior Caregivers are assisting my uncle with his daily needs and keeping him company is immeasurable. The single most important thing they do is keep the lines of communication between you and your loved one open. In the past I would call and he did not hear the phone and I would worry. Now I am assured that someone will answer and I can talk with him. My uncle has mentioned to me several times that, now, he does not know what he would do without his helpers. Since I do not live nearby, I am able to call at anytime while the caregivers are there and I am assured that I will reach my uncle and get an accurate report of how he is doing. The caregivers alert me to any of his needs from medical issues to groceries. They are also able to assist him and drive him to do such things as get a haircut or do his banking. The caregivers will respond the the individual needs of the client. For us, they do their best to make sure he takes his pre-dispensed meds, they cook and serve him meals, do light cleaning, help with restroom if necessary, do laundry, update his whiteboard of notes and doctor appointments. It takes a special kind of person to do this work and we are most grateful to each of them. Deepest gratitude to all of the individuals that make up Amada Senior Care.

I hired Amada to help with my elderly aunt. She’s had mostly the same caregiver from day one. The caregiver takes her to doctor appointments, run errands, get her food and help with medication to name a few things. I was given the number for Rick from a rehab center that my aunt was temporarily at. When my aunt got home, Amada took over. Both Rick and Michelle are great and very helpful.
Amada Senior Care of SFV provides excellent care. there people show up on time and consistently provide great service. Michelle is proactive in advising me of any issues and is well in touch with the caregivers she provides. i find myself worrying less about the coverage than i did with other companies.

Hello All, I was recently plunged into the world of senior home care after my 96 year old aunt fell and was released from rehab after a 6 week stay… I am so thankful my online search for in home care services lead me to Amada! I was in a desperate situation and needed very last-minute care for my mom we could afford, who not only was extremely difficult to care for, we were in Koreatown with no access to parking, which was another added challenge. I was referred to Amada by Barbara Wogh, RN of Keeping Your Parents Safe (another blessing), and Rick was able to get me in-home support the next day. After explaining all of my situation’s particulars, he went above and beyond to meet our unique/complex needs successfully within 24 hours. The caregiver who cared for my mom was skilled, compassionate, and helped with cleaning, which we were deeply grateful for but didn’t expect since my mom was herself a full-time job. I will be forever grateful for such excellent help and support during such a challenging time for us.
