Amanda Senior Care cared for my mother, Ms. Victoria, when she was brought home for hospice. The service lasted about a month before she sadly passed away. During that short time, the caregivers were compassionate, kind, and attentive, bringing comfort to her and our family in her final days. My only hope is for improved punctuality, but overall, the care was truly appreciated. My Dad had a month long stay in Johnston-Willis Hospital rehab, and when he came home we knew he needed some extra care. Amada was highly recommended to us and I am very glad we chose them. They were extremely efficient and helpful, and all of the care workers who came to his house did a fantastic job. We used Amada Senior Care to provide private sitters to help support my dad as he adjusted to a new Memory Care facility. We only needed sitters for the first couple of weeks, but they truly helped to make the transition a little easier for him and his new care givers. The need arose very last minute and they worked quickly to provide the needed sitters who were wonderful with him. The sitters were very patient with him and worked very well with the facility staff to support dad in those early days of transition in spite of all the confusion that Alzheimer’s brought with it. The facility staff were very complimentary of the sitters provided as well. The office staff at Amada was very helpful and responsive and easy to work with when it came to staffing our needs. I highly recommend this team!!

I worked with the Amada company to help find my mother a place to live her next stage of life . Jay Mann was an amazing resource. He helped me figure if in home care vs a retirement community was better for my mothers situation . He spent the day introducing me to the services that communities offered. He educated me on elder care and what to expect from nurses , staff and communities . He gave wise advice on the financial aspect of moving an elderly loved one. He was patient and kind durning one of the most stressful times in a person life. When the role is reversed and you need someone to guide you on caring for a parent, call Amada and ask for Jay. I would be only too pleased to recommend Amada Senior Care as a very efficient and helpful organization. I had to find in-home care-givers for a friend who was being discharged from hospital after surgery for a broken femur. With only a bare 24 hours notice Amada set up a schedule of 24 hour care for her. The girls who came to my friend’s home carried out their duties diligently and sympathetically. The whole arrangement ran smoothly so their patient was always comfortable and well cared-for.

Employees caring for my Father in Law were less than efficient, professional and timely. We are VERY disappointed in the services received and I would NOT entrust my family members with this company. When speaking to HR regarding our concerns, personnel only offered the option to TERMINATE and did not offer to resolve the issue. Care aides did not show up on time, falsified records (indicating they were at the home when they were not) and were not on time. Extremely Poor service and we do NOT recommend this company.

My dad needed extra help while in rehab after a difficult hospital stay. Crystal Hines helped us set up every other day help with an aide. Teresa Hatcher was wonderful and my dad felt very well cared for. Thank you Amada!

This was my first experience with hiring caregivers. Jay was very service oriented, easy to reach, and very responsive. Jay showed up in person to bridge a break in coverage. As with any situation of this kind there are some caregivers who are more impressive than others (e.g. level of engagement with client/family, professionalism, initiative, etc.) Where possible, the Amada scheduled our preferred caretakers. Overall it was a very good service at a time when we needed it most—acknowledging that Jay, himself was the most positive influence on the experience.

Becoming an Amada caregiver is a deeply rewarding experience, filled with moments of genuine connection and compassion.
