My relationship with Amada began years ago when I was looking for care for an elderly aunt. My relationship however really blossomed when looking for care for my husband who was suffering from advanced dementia, eventually had a catheter, and I found myself in a position of no longer being able to leave our home to address my health care needs as well as keeping our household running with shopping for groceries and supplies. I first contacted Greg, the owner, to ask him to meet with me to set up a time to review our long term care policy through Thrivent and review services. Greg set up a time to meet with myself along with Jess who is the client coordinator for my area. During the meeting Greg and I phoned Thrivent and learned everything I needed to know about our long term care policy. I can’t stress enough how he knew each and every question to ask which would not have occurred to me. Amada staff were essential to work with when I opened a claim with Thrivent. I learned things about the policy I didn’t even know about. Dear Jes was such a gift to work with in coming out to our home, meeting my dear husband, and answering all questions I had about the services Amada could provide. When you are looking for care I found I had so many worries on my mind that Jess went through each of them and answered them. Kay, the director of nursing connected with me to review medications and she had the wisdom to suggest I circle back to providers for clarity on some of the recent changes happening. Joyce from the billing department was so helpful in regards to billing and answering questions about communicating with Thrivent. When it came to actually scheduling services Amanda and her team of Candace and others could not have been more kind, compassionate, and understanding when services needed to be added, changed, and navigated! I was able to look at my calendar a month out and schedule a team of three caregivers to care for my husband when I was not home. A testament to the quality of caregivers and the interview process that Amada takes to hire only top notch staff was seen with each provider that came into our home. Suda was a kind and compassionate caregiver who so gently addressed my husband’s needs and taught me near the close of his life how to safely position and move him in bed. Lucrisha was a vibrant and energetic caring caregiver who at one time cleaned my refrigerator and I could not have been happier as when you are in the thick of caregiving for a spouse your housekeeping standards fall to the side! Lucrisha also was able to set limits with my husband when he asked her for unrealistic things (taking down an outdoor umbrella!!) that I would have never asked of a caregiver! Cheryl arrived to our home the last week of my husband’s life and she brought years of experience in providing care for people living in nursing homes. She taught me some of the most essential skills I needed for the last weeks of his life. With each new caregiver to our home came Jess arrived to orient them! This came in particularly useful when I arrived home with my husband and he could no longer walk into our home without the assistance of all three of us. During the last weeks of my husband’s life I stayed at home and had these kind and compassionate caregivers at my side. I can’t stress how this was so essential to me as our adult children lived out of state and I had caregivers at my side during the same time period I engaged hospice services. Looking back it is clear to me that I waited way to long to engage Amada Senior Care into our home to support my husband and I. The burden of caregiving would have decreased if I had reached out earlier. I really regret not engaging services months prior to his death. Amada Senior Care allows family to leave their home and know that their loved ones are cared for in the same, if not better ways, than you could provide yourself.
The caregivers for my mom have been amazing. Tiffany, Melissa, Fatumati, and Juliette have been very caring and gentle with her. We are so at ease when we are not able to be there, knowing mom is being taken care of. We feel they have become more than a caregiver, but as friends and family. Tiffany has also gone above and beyond as to what we were expecting. We appreciate all they have done for her and our own interactions with them to work together. I have not had any interactions with the office staff, but my wife has and she shares with me. All texts/calls are handled promptly and staffing time changes have been accommodated quickly.

I hired Amada in Jan 2022 for home assistance (showers, laundry, misc needs) and I am very pleased! Jill F is ALWAYS on time and I completely trust that she can keep me safe, especially in shower. Jill learned my personal preferences right away, which was so nice. The communication has been great with Amada. It was rare if a call wasn’t answered and if I left a vm, it was promptly returned. Amada is Amazing! We’re fairly new. But Kay and Melissa and their team have gone above and beyond in working to set up their service with us. They’ve worked hard both to tailor their service to our needs and importantly, to help their aides be successful. Kay, the Director of Services, has come out with each new aide to introduce them to my mom and to spend as much time as it takes to make sure the aide is oriented and things are going smoothly. I do not recommend this company for your loved ones. An aide was sent out to our house and she had to be asked to use soap when helping with bathing and again had to be asked to use shampoo for hair washing…among other things too sensitive to post in a review. I don’t intend to put a laundry list here in my review either. Yes, water alone does not wash a person. When we contacted management they responded that they will address it but stated that the issue came about because we ONLY scheduled one 4 hour shift this week and the workforce is slim as reasoning. I really hope they don’t continue that logic. I would hate to eat at a restaurant where I’m told I chose the wrong day or the server staff isn’t trained due to slim pickings, but they tell me it’s my fault for those factors. Having loved ones cared for is a lot more complex than eating at a restaurant, if you understand my comparison. The aide confessed she had never even had an orientation with management. I’m very glad we only scheduled one day this week, which we told them ahead of time was because we were hesitant to get on board for a full schedule until we had a chance to have staff come out so we could see the level of care they offer. Needless to say we’ve cancelled services with them. There are plenty of other home healthcare companies that will send someone prepared and at least aware of the basic functions of a home aide. Contact Adara or Brightstar instead, that’s the best warning I can give. ***edit*** I don’t like how you twist the truth in the interest of saving face in your response to my review. You can give the proper details instead of misleading viewers. I contacted Joe with the details of treatment and his response was what I referred to. I was also contacted by Greg a day later and I did not decline but instead asked that we communicate in a written letter due to how Joe responded over text. I will be contacting Google if you make false claims further. The aide is the one who told me she had no experience, she had not had an orientation, it was her first day. Greg told me I was wrong about her skill level because shes a nursing student. However, I had to tell Greg that the aide said she wasnt accepted into the program yet. You are making false claims on this review as to who you sent out instead of apologizing. This is a perfect example of what clients can expect. However, what a wonderful and easy transition into Accentcare fairview. They have provided such a different caregiver with no issues. Truly a blessing.

Upon my initial connection with Amada Senior Care it was very apparent that I was dealing with someone who really cares about their clients outcomes and needs and everyone was very compassionate and caring the entire time.
I would give Amada zero stars…My husband was in hospice care in our home & we needed someone at night so we could get some sleep. Unfortunately sleep is what your employees did so it was money wasted. Today a Christmas card came in the mail addressed to my deceased husband….talk about tone deaf.
