Amada Senior Care Geneva
Alie Johnson
Father-daughter team David Harmon and Alie Johnson, owners of Amada Senior Care of Geneva are dedicated to providing the best in quality in-home care for Geneva, Saint Charles, Naperville, Wheaton, Aurora, Batavia, Glen Ellyn and surrounding communities.
Says David, “We were moved to make a real difference in the lives of other families after my wife was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia and I had to navigate how best to take care of her. Some time ago, she and I invested in Long-Term Care insurance and agreed to do whatever it took to stay in our own home as we aged. In my experience, this is the hope of most aging Americans.”
Their eyes were opened wide to the very real need for compassionate, responsible senior care within the Fox Valley community after experiencing for themselves how challenging it is to find reliable care for a loved one.
“Our entire family was impacted as my stepmom’s dementia progressed,” says Alie. “While we grieved all of the changes in her personality and the deterioration of her independence, we were challenged to find reliable and caring support. To add to the stress of finding caregivers, we also had to navigate her Long-Term Care insurance benefits with a sincere desire to respect her wishes to stay in her own home.”

Alie -- This is clearly over and above service. I just want you to know that I do not take it for granted and I am humbled by your servant mindset. The world needs more people like you, and I'm honored to be among those whose life you have touched.

For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.
The team at Amada Senior Care Geneva has years of experience with senior care in Aurora, Batavia, Elburn, Eola, Geneva, Glen Ellyn, Mooseheart, Naperville, Saint Charles, Warrenville, Wasco, Wayne, Wheaton and Winfield. As a result, we have deep knowledge of all local care communities and can make sure our clients find the ideal placement to suit their care needs, locations, lifestyles, and budgets.
We also rely on our extensive experience to help our clients make full use of all benefits available to them, including veterans’ benefits and Long-Term Care Insurance benefits. The costs of assisted living may intimidate many families, but we can help them make financial decisions with confidence. To further ease cost concerns, the Amada Geneva team is pleased to offer its placement services free of charge.
When in-home care is no longer ideal for our clients, we are honored to guide them through this next phase. Our specialty is referring seniors to the right community or placement for them, which may include:
