Dave Bean is the owner of Amada Senior Care Boise, a senior home care agency dedicated to providing the best quality in-home senior care in Boise, Caldwell, Eagle, Emmett Garden City, Kuna, Meridian, Mountain Home, Nampa, and many more Southwestern Idaho communities. Dave has a long-standing belief that assisting seniors and veterans to age with dignity is a great privilege. He understands how essential it is to provide quality care not only to seniors and veterans but also offer assistance and guidance to their family members who love them and want the best for them.

Dave’s entire professional life has been spent in healthcare. He brings an MBA and an extensive background in medical device sales and pharmaceutical sales for such entities as Johnson & Johnson to his dedicated commitment as an Amada Senior Care franchise owner and advocate for seniors. “I know from personal experience that it can be nearly impossible for families to find the best senior care for their loved one without guidance and access to the proper resources,” Dave says.” After my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, it wasn’t long before it began to take a tremendous toll on my mom, who was his primary caregiver. Without the loving care of an in-home caregiver, he wouldn’t have been able to remain at home where eventually he passed away peacefully. Because of this experience, I have dedicated my career to doing everything possible to educate and help families in need of in-home care.”

At Amada Senior Care Boise ID, we understand that families are protective of their elderly loved ones and as such, the process of choosing an in-home care company can be even more stressful. One way Amada Boise relieves that stress is by hiring and training the most skilled, reliable and compassionate caregivers.

Expert Guidance on Long-Term Care Insurance Policies and Veteran’s Benefits

Another way we take the burden off families is to address the financial aspect of home care, because the number one question seniors and their families ask is how will in-home care be paid for? Amada Senior Care removes the burden of navigating confusing Long-Term Care insurance terminology from seniors and their families by reviewing policies for them and assisting with paperwork and filing and managing claims. All this is done as part of our client care services; there is no additional cost to seniors and their families.

Our senior care advisors also have had great success in assisting those who served our country get the full extent of the Veterans Administration benefits entitled to them that might help pay for an in-home caregiving or senior housing. Many veterans and their families are unaware that a VA benefit is available to war-era veterans and that this benefit is essential to a qualifying senior veteran’s financial future when it comes to in-home care. We’re happy to provide a free benefits analysis for veterans and their families.

Senior Housing Advising

When seniors or their loved ones begin to feel that they require more support than in-home care and assistance with basic ADLs, it may be time to consider transitioning to an assisted living community.

Senior Housing Guidance and Assistance
Senior Care Housing Options

This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in Boise is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy, and competence.

For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.

The team at Amada Senior Care Boise has years of experience with senior care in Boise, Caldwell, Eagle, Emmett, Garden City, Kuna, Meridian, Mountain Home, and Nampa. As a result, we have deep knowledge of all local care communities and can make sure our clients find the ideal placement to suit their care needs, locations, lifestyles, and budgets.

We also rely on our extensive experience to help our clients make full use of all benefits available to them, including veterans’ benefits and Long-Term Care Insurance benefits. The costs of assisted living may intimidate many families, but we can help them make financial decisions with confidence. To further ease cost concerns, the Amada Boise team is pleased to offer its placement services free of charge.

When in-home care is no longer ideal for our clients, we are honored to guide them through this next phase. Our specialty is referring seniors to the right community or placement for them, which may include:

  • Assisted living communities
  • Large and small communities
  • Independent living communities
  • Board and care homes
  • Adult family homes
  • Senior care homes
  • Skilled nursing facilities
  • Alzheimer/dementia communities

Veterans Assistance Programs

Many of our veterans, their spouses, and their families may not be aware of their potential eligibility for financial assistance from the government. At Amada Senior Care Boise, we are dedicated to helping individuals eligible for VA Aid and Attendance benefits and other forms of financial support take full advantage of these resources.

How is Aid and Attendance Eligibility Determined?

1. Military Service

  • A minimum of 90 days of active duty, with at least one of those days during wartime.
  • Must not have been dishonorable discharged.

2. Personal Care Needs

  • Applicant must currently require assistance with activities of daily living, such as walking, eating, toileting, or dressing.

3. Income

  • Majority of applicant’s income must currently be spent on care expenses.
  • The percentage of income currently spent on care will determine the benefits they receive.

4. Assets

  • The VA will determine an acceptable threshold for applicants’ assets.
  • Determination of financial assets will depend upon age and financial need.

How VA Aid and Attendance Benefits can Help You:

Through the use of VA benefits, seniors gain more financial flexibility for their care plans and potential placements. This may include:

  • More in-home care.
  • The community of their choice.
  • Benefits paid monthly with no repayment required.
  • Benefits are paid directly to claimants by the United States Treasury and are tax-free.

"I cannot thank you enough for sending a caring, competent professional to help my father. I would highly recommend your organization!"
