Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans
March 28, 2026
The Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans event has been a staple of patriotic pride in the Treasure Valley for 6 years now with a powerful mission: celebrate our community’s Vietnam Veterans who did not receive the honorable reception home they deserved, and ensure that no generation of Veterans feels abandoned again. This year’s celebration at the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa had an incredible turnout, beautiful weather, and dozens of community organizations united in seeing that vision come true.
Amada Senior Care is proud to be a member of one such organization: The Treasure Valley Hospice Veterans Coalition. Our coalition represents a premiere group of VA-partnered hospice and home-care agencies united in advocacy for better quality/access to healthcare for veterans. Though the coalition is predominantly made of hospice care providers, in-home care is a vital part of end-of-life care and Amada Senior Care is proud to be the coalition’s first primary PCS (Personal Care Support) provider. The coalition’s sole focus is to serve our Veteran community by improving patient care, which is why we cooperate on an inter-agency level. We believe that lifting together is the best way to accomplish our vision for better care for veterans.
Whether you are a veteran yourself or are seeking assistance on behalf of a veteran senior, we are here to empower you with knowledge and resources to navigate the multitude of options available. When consulting with your VA Primary Care Physician, explicitly state your preference for Amada Senior Care as your designated caregiving provider. Please ensure to provide our NPI number, 1285473546, to facilitate your request to use VA benefits to help cover the cost of home care or respite care.
Along with providing education and resources at the Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans celebration, our coalition also had a great time serving smiles and Italian Sodas provided by Auburn Crest Hospice (located in Meridian). Over a hundred people came by our booth over the course of the day and it was incredible seeing how many members of our community are as passionate about veterans’ healthcare as we are.
We, the owners of Amada Senior Care, Brett and Bizzy Devore, want to say a huge thank you to all who showed up on Saturday to support our community’s Vietnam Veterans. We’re also grateful to our fellow Treasure Valley Hospice Veterans Coalition members; Auburn Crest Hospice, Harrison’s Hope Hospice, Keystone Hospice, Geiss Med Hospice, and First Choice Hospice.
Amada Senior Care is always looking for more ways to serve our veteran community in the Treasure Valley and provide education on VA Benefits. We are available to provide educational presentations to senior healthcare providers, senior living communities, and veteran organizations. If you know a veteran who is needing in home supportive care, please contact us at 986-210-8501 to get connected with VA benefits and set up a free consultation for care.
