Amada Senior Care Southern Fairfax County
Gene and Nese Reinard, owners of Amada Senior Care Southern Fairfax, understand what true-blue service demands: commitment, integrity, compassion, attention, action, and follow-through — lots and lots of follow-through. Gene successfully served in a lengthy military career, and Nese worked for many years as a civilian government employee. The Reinards “know the drill” when it comes to giving their best in service. The couple’s chosen tour of duty these days is providing quality in-home senior care.
Says Gene, “I served in the military for 21 years. After retiring from the service, my wife and I realized we had more to offer. We decided the best way we could still serve the community was to care for seniors by providing them with excellent in-home care. This is our passion!”
For Gene and Nese, home senior care means more than helping with common daily living activites like cooking and cleaning. It’s also about offering companionship and bringing smiles to clients’ faces.
“We are committed to enriching the lives of our clients and their families in every way possible at Amada Senior Care Southern Fairfax,” says Gene. “We do this by forming trusting relationships with each person we care for so that we can create a nurturing environment that meets their every need and exceeds their expectations. We truly value our clients — and it shows every day.”

Support for Veterans
The team at Amada Senior Care Southern Fairfax has the honor of caring for many veterans and spouses of veterans who have made sacrifices for our country. Did you know that there are special benefits available through the VA to help wartime veterans and spouses cover the costs of care? The VA Aid and Attendance benefits program was specifically designed to provide financial support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. To learn more about VA benefits and eligibility, click here for a free consultation.
How is Eligibility for VA Aid and Attendance Benefits Determined?
- Veteran or veteran spouse served a minimum of 90 days’ active duty, at least one day of which was during a period of war.
- Must not have been dishonorably discharged.
- Applicant must show a current need for assistance from another person for activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, grooming, eating, meal preparation, walking, or others.
- The majority of the applicant’s income must be spent on care.
- The amount of benefits received, up to the maximum, is determined by the percentage of their income the applicant spends on care.
- The applicant’s assets must be below a threshold established by the VA.
- The applicant’s age and financial need are key factors in the determination of this asset limit.
VA Aid and Attendance benefits are one of the many ways our government honors our veterans and their surviving spouses. These benefits can significantly ease financial burdens and may make it possible for claimants to afford more in-home care or to live in the senior community of their choice. A few key facts on Aid and Attendance:
- Benefits are paid monthly.
- Benefits never need to be paid back as long as eligibility is maintained.
- The United States Treasury pays these benefits directly to claimants, just like Social Security.
- VA Aid and Attendance benefits are tax-free.
