Amada Senior Care San Rafael
Proudly serving seniors and families in Sonoma, Napa and Marin Counties
Mike and Angela Lynch, local residents and owners of Amada Senior Care in San Rafael, are dedicated to providing quality and loving care to seniors in this tight-knit community and its equally cozy neighborhoods nearby. Mike and Angela saw firsthand the importance of compassionate in-home care with their own grandparents, so they know how quality care can provide many positive impacts to the entire family.
Angela recalls, “Not long ago, my grandparents were getting to the point where they needed help with meals. While initially we all pitched in, we very soon realized we didn’t have the time to provide the care my grandparents needed—so we began the process of looking for someone we could trust in their home. We were very lucky to find a gentleman who took loving care of them and was able to watch my grandparents blossom from this care and love. That caregiver became part of our family.”
At Amada, we strive to meet the unique senior care needs of each individual family while providing exemplary live-in care. In cases where home is no longer the best place for a beloved senior, we will guide families to the ideal assisted living community to meet their needs. We’ll also make sure each family has access to every resource available to help fit senior care into their budgets, including long-term care insurance, veteran’s benefits and even life insurance policies.
We do all of these things and more because we have a genuine interest in each of our clients and their loved ones. As Mike says, “At Amada, we are an extension of your own family, and we’re here to make sure your mom and dad are happy, healthy and thriving on a daily basis.”

I needed help caring for my elderly, disabled mother, so I am very thankful to have found Amada following a recommendation by a social worker I trust. I was very pleased after going through the initial care assessment review with the owner, Angela. She was helpful, understanding and kind. Also, the scheduling staff is wonderful and I love that I can text the team during times I can't call. Plus, the billing guy, Michael, is an angel! I absolutely love that he makes sure to directly bill the long-term care insurance company. It takes that process off of my plate and I am so grateful.
We feel that our Amada caregiver, Sarah, has truly been heaven-sent! She is not only respectful but kind and understanding. She also is flexible, eager, a quick learner, and an incredibly hard worker! Since Sarah is the only caregiver my mother has ever truly liked and trusted, she allows Sarah to help her with more personal tasks. This has been a lifesaver for me! Sarah is always on time for the shift and doesn't rush off at the end like she can't wait to leave. We appreciate that she is non-judgmental, enthusiastic, thorough, considerate, well-mannered, and always wants to help more. She goes above and beyond with mom.
We found that Sarah is good at following a recipe and can cook based on mom's preferences and what's in the pantry. She also is a competent driver. I trust her entirely, as I have seen Sarah act intuitively in looking out for my mom in the same way I do. I feel so grateful that we've found such a magnificent match and wonderful helper in Sarah! Thank you, Sarah, and thank you Amada!!!
I have recommended Amada to fellow family caregivers to their parents who need more help and will continue to do so!
Amada Senior Care has been honest and reliable. The insights and compassion offered by caregiver Laura were so appreciated, as she had years of experience with all kinds of clients. Laura’s patience, sense of humor and stories have helped in my husband's recovery process after he suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Having confidence about the care he was receiving allowed me to take the time I needed to run errands and take a break without worry. My husband has improved enough that he can be on his own at home. However, we will both miss Laura being here.
Your caregiver has made life worth living. Alicia is very bright, and knows what to do and how to do things. She is a true asset to your agency.
This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in San Rafael is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy and competence.
For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.
The team at Amada Senior Care San Rafael has years of experience with senior care in San Rafael, Novato, Corde Madera, Tiburon, Mill Valley, Larkspur, and Tiburon. As a result, we have deep knowledge of all local care communities and can make sure our clients find the ideal placement to suit their care needs, locations, lifestyles, and budgets.
We also rely on our extensive experience to help our clients make full use of all benefits available to them, including veterans’ benefits and Long-Term Care Insurance benefits. The costs of assisted living may intimidate many families, but we can help them make financial decisions with confidence. To further ease cost concerns, the Amada San Rafael team is pleased to offer its placement services free of charge.
