Celebrating Nurses Week with Lunch at Citadel of Wilmette
This celebration traces back to the legacy of Florence Nightingale, whose work during the Crimean War helped shape modern nursing, and is observed each year in May to honor her birthday. We at Amada Senior Care Northshore recognize the compassion, skill, and resilience nurses bring to every patient interaction. From lifesaving care to everyday kindness, their impact is immeasurable—thank you for all that you do to keep our communities healthy and supported.

Caregiver Appreciation at Amada NorthShore
During our most recent Caregiver Connection at Amada NorthShore, we in-serviced our caregivers about the differences between Home Care, Home Health, Palliative, and Hospice care practices. Together, we discussed best care practices in the home and practiced writing great care notes for clients and families.

Heart in Hands: Caregiver of the Month
Each month, Amada Twin Cities proudly honors one exceptional caregiver who goes above and beyond in their service to others. Our Caregiver of the Month is chosen for their unwavering dedication to our clients and their embodiment of the comforting, competent, communicative, committed, compassionate, confidently humble values that define our caregiving community.
Amada Twin Cities Caregiver of the Month: Seble

Seble is known for her reliability, steady presence, and willingness to step in whenever help is needed, picking up extra shifts, responding to last-minute needs, and always arriving with professionalism, positivity, and heart. She brings the same care and dedication she gives her own family to every family she serves.
One family shared:
“Seble is the best!!! She is willing to do whatever is needed to be done. Always pleasant and SMILING. A big THANK YOU to Seble.”
Seble recently showed exceptional composure during a medical emergency involving a client’s wife, remaining calm and providing immediate support and comfort when it mattered most.
When asked why she chose caregiving, Seble shared that helping others gives her purpose and fulfillment and allows her to build meaningful connections.
Seble received special recognition, a bonus, and our heartfelt thanks—but most importantly, our gratitude for the difference she makes every day.
Connecting Veterans to In-Home Care
We are proud to support Twin Cities Veterans by hosting resource fairs, sponsoring recognition events, and participating in local support groups. One way we serve is through our presentation, Understanding Care-Based VA Benefits: A Practical Guide for Veterans and Their Families.
This session helps Veterans and their loved ones understand key VA benefits, including home and community-based services, Aid & Attendance, and general eligibility guidelines. Designed for caregivers, family members, and anyone supporting a Veteran, the presentation offers practical guidance to navigate available programs and connect Veterans with the care they’ve earned.
