If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would. It’s near impossible to trust anyone with your loved ones because nobody cares for them like you, but that is simply not true with Kate from Amada. This is the second year we got support while we took a (much needed) vacation and Kate was the caregiver both years. My grandmother has dementia and isn’t comfortable with a lot of people, hence the nerves I had even leaving her and my grandfather. Kate was someone she was completely comfortable with, she was able to help with daily things that we didn’t even ask or expect. I cannot rave about this lady enough, she’s an angel and treats those she cares for with respect and love, and that is rare in this world! I would recommend Amada to anyone looking for support for their loved ones.
They took wonderful care of my aunt. They were there for us and very patient with scheduling as my aunt was in and out of the hospital and prolonged rehab care. Very flexible with scheduling and rates were quite reasonable. They were even very patient and nice during a payment mixup. To get set up with Amada the owner Rich actually came to my aunts house to meet with us and followed up with us periodically himself. Very impressed with this company! They do awesome work 🙂
Amada is a very good choice when it comes to home care in Maryland, their office team is top-notch and really takes the time to understand how they can help a stressful situation. This agency is A+!
Amada served me well with dependable help for over a year. Caregivers came on time, found things to do, and left my house in better shape each time they came. They notified me when a caregiver was unable to be there and found substitutes. I would have loved to continue our relationship but had to move to an assisted living.
Amada also helped me apply for my long term care insurance. Rebecca steered me through the mysteries of becoming eligible for reimbursement.
I am in complete awe over the support that I received from Rich and his team of caregivers. I am on the West Coast, and when I needed immediate care for my father in Frederick County, Rich’s team was there to help. We had a long list of things that made our situation a difficult one, including a large dog in the home that was over-exuberant and difficult to control. Rich made sure to take all of this into account and find caregivers who were able to handle the situation. His team of kind and compassionate caregivers supported my dad 24 hours a day until we were able to transition to a memory care community, taking him to medical appointments, assisting with grocery shopping and meals, and packing and labeling his things for the move, even transporting my dad (and his things, including some furniture) to the community and verifying he was settled. I was absolutely blown away by the heart the caregivers showed my father, and I was floored by the level of concern Rich expressed for our family and for his team. He was there to personally assist on many occasions, including the day of the move. He was always available when I had questions and maintained coordination with the physician’s assistant and memory care facility to insure everything went as smoothly as possible. The Amada team showed the sort of care and concern people usually reserve for their dear friends. I am truly grateful to have found Rich and his team of amazing caregivers.
Amada worked with my Mother for almost 3 years. They were amazing. She received quality care and attention. Rich Frizzell, the staff and caregivers were easy to work with and always helped me through every stage of care that was needed. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who needs a caregiver for a loved one.
Just 15 days after I was introduced (via Phone and Text) to Rich Frizzell and Amada Senior Care I can hardly believe all the good things that have taken place much due to the care, professionalism, and dedication of this man and his wonderful organization.
I was faced with an impossible task of obtaining the help necessary to provide for the safe care of my two parents in Hagerstown, MD while I was three states away locked down due to the COVID-19 Virus. This task would have been daunting even without the health concerns but it did not take long at all for me to see the wisdom of obtaining home health care for my 95 year old dad and 91 year old mother. Mom suffers from very advanced dementia and my amazing dad had provided food, clothes, meals, housecleaning and even transportation to doctors and shopping needs for over three long years of serious decline.
He was desperate for help when on two separate occasions my mom left home during sleeping hours and walked alone through the neighborhood.
Once the Amada caregivers where on sight this danger was passed. They stayed with them 24 hours a day until we could arrange for a hospital psych eval and they even took responsibility to transport my mom to the hospital and after a few days on to Memory Care.
My dad needed some companionship until his room was ready at the assisted living facility so they supplied friendly and helpful staff to stay with him. Since I could not travel to Maryland during this lock down, Rich Frizzell took it on himself to gather up necessary items of clothing, furniture and even a new TV to help with minimum furnishings at the care facility. He and his staff went well beyond any expected call of duty in performing these critical tasks.
Rich is an excellent communicator and team manager and obviously a gifted recruiter since his team is built of caring and positive individuals. One caregiver even delivered an Easter meal to my dad when he was still waiting for his assisted living room to open up.
The State of Maryland required One-On-One care for all new Memory Care admissions for 14 days during the COVID crisis so Amada staff is making the transition a little more familiar for my mom and even spending some quality discussion time with my dad during his 14 day lock down.
I just cannot say enough good things about my experience with Amada Senior Care. I have yet to make it to Maryland but once they re-open the State and access to nursing home facilities I will absolutely seek out Rich Frizzell to properly show my appreciation. It has to be way more than just a job for this fine team!
We could not be any more thankful or appreciative of Amada Senior Care. We were in an emergency situation and needed private care immediately. I contacted Elmer at 1:45pm on a Friday before a holiday weekend, by 4pm there was a staff person at the door and a schedule for the next 4 days. Incredible. The care giver were professional, skilled, and seemed to truly care. We do not know what we would have done without them. Thank you all.
On very short notice, my family needed help with my mom. Amada was recommended by a staff member at Country Meadows. What a blessing! Rich was so kind and helpful. I didn’t even bother to “shop” around. I knew after my initial conversation with Rich that Amada was the right choice for my Mom. The staff is professional and well trained. Compassionate and kind. We were very comfortable leaving our Mom in their care. I would highly recommend Amada to anyone who is looking for the absolute best for their loved one !
