If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would. It’s near impossible to trust anyone with your loved ones because nobody cares for them like you, but that is simply not true with Kate from Amada. This is the second year we got support while we took a (much needed) vacation and Kate was the caregiver both years. My grandmother has dementia and isn’t comfortable with a lot of people, hence the nerves I had even leaving her and my grandfather. Kate was someone she was completely comfortable with, she was able to help with daily things that we didn’t even ask or expect. I cannot rave about this lady enough, she’s an angel and treats those she cares for with respect and love, and that is rare in this world! I would recommend Amada to anyone looking for support for their loved ones.
They took wonderful care of my aunt. They were there for us and very patient with scheduling as my aunt was in and out of the hospital and prolonged rehab care. Very flexible with scheduling and rates were quite reasonable. They were even very patient and nice during a payment mixup. To get set up with Amada the owner Rich actually came to my aunts house to meet with us and followed up with us periodically himself. Very impressed with this company! They do awesome work 🙂
Amada is a very good choice when it comes to home care in Maryland, their office team is top-notch and really takes the time to understand how they can help a stressful situation. This agency is A+!
Amada served me well with dependable help for over a year. Caregivers came on time, found things to do, and left my house in better shape each time they came. They notified me when a caregiver was unable to be there and found substitutes. I would have loved to continue our relationship but had to move to an assisted living.
Amada also helped me apply for my long term care insurance. Rebecca steered me through the mysteries of becoming eligible for reimbursement.
I am in complete awe over the support that I received from Rich and his team of caregivers. I am on the West Coast, and when I needed immediate care for my father in Frederick County, Rich’s team was there to help. We had a long list of things that made our situation a difficult one, including a large dog in the home that was over-exuberant and difficult to control. Rich made sure to take all of this into account and find caregivers who were able to handle the situation. His team of kind and compassionate caregivers supported my dad 24 hours a day until we were able to transition to a memory care community, taking him to medical appointments, assisting with grocery shopping and meals, and packing and labeling his things for the move, even transporting my dad (and his things, including some furniture) to the community and verifying he was settled. I was absolutely blown away by the heart the caregivers showed my father, and I was floored by the level of concern Rich expressed for our family and for his team. He was there to personally assist on many occasions, including the day of the move. He was always available when I had questions and maintained coordination with the physician’s assistant and memory care facility to insure everything went as smoothly as possible. The Amada team showed the sort of care and concern people usually reserve for their dear friends. I am truly grateful to have found Rich and his team of amazing caregivers.
Amada worked with my Mother for almost 3 years. They were amazing. She received quality care and attention. Rich Frizzell, the staff and caregivers were easy to work with and always helped me through every stage of care that was needed. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who needs a caregiver for a loved one.
This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in Mid-Maryland is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy and competence.
For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.
