I am highly impressed with the Amanda Las Vegas team. I had a very specific need and required assistance to my hotel. They were excellent from start to finish and went out of their way to ensure I got to my hotel room safely. They were in good spirits, very reassuring and able to handle my unsteadiness as a heavy Lymphedema patient. They listened to me and shared their expertise in many areas. If I could move permanently to Las Vegas I'd do it because of this experience. I'm seriously considering it. The care I received from them is top notch and I have yet to have seen anything like it from other companies on the East Coast. Nothing compares to Amada. My family interviewed Amada in 2022 when my wife was in her last year of life suffering from ovarian cancer. David and Stacy introduced us to Angela who created an instant bond with my wife and myself as her caregiver. My wife died in September 2023 while under in house Hospice and Amada care and we couldn't have asked for more tender kindness than she received from Angela.
Upon my wife's death, I realized that during the preceding year Angela had also been assisting me indirectly with my degenerative back disability and I inquired of David if Amada could assist me in applying for long-term care insurance for me under an insurance policy I had purchased in 1990. I applied for the insurance which had a 90 day elimination period and retained the services of Amada Senior Care, specifying Angela, during the waiting period. David was very accommodating to me by reducing the rate I paid to Amada during the waiting period.
I have had Amada care now since September and the 100% insurance coverage started in mid December. The care that my wife received from Angela has carried over to me for which I shall be forever grateful. Amada Senior Care provides a level of support to its care givers that is unprecedented as our family and I has found out over several years of trial and error. David, Stacy and Dee are immediately available by telephone on a 24 hour basis and provide care giver back up in cases of emergency.

How is Aid and Attendance Eligibility Determined?
1. Military Service
- A minimum of 90 days of active duty, with at least one of those days during wartime.
- Must not have been dishonorable discharged.
2. Personal Care Needs
- Applicant must currently require assistance with activities of daily living, such as walking, eating, toileting, or dressing.
3. Income
- Majority of applicant’s income must currently be spent on care expenses.
- The percentage of income currently spent on care will determine the benefits they receive.
4. Assets
- The VA will determine an acceptable threshold for applicants’ assets.
- Determination of financial assets will depend upon age and financial need.
