I cannot say enough about the care my parents have received from Amada! I have been a client of Amada for almost two years now; first for both my mom and dad and now for my mom who has late stage dementia. The care she receives is outstanding! When other caregiving companies could not/would not provide care Amada did! Jessie and Bridget provide round the clock care for my mom and I am so grateful to them both and thankful to Quinton who really listened to me needs. Jessie and Bridget are attentive, caring, patient, knowledgeable and have become a great friend to me and are part of our family. I highly recommend Amada for anyone who needs in-home care!
Amada has provided our friend with some amazing caregivers! Sarah is attentive and Laisha and Linda provide attentive and sensitive care sensitivity of his sometimes challenging personality.
I'm the sister of an Amada client and handled most communications. Quinton Kocher, the owner, responded quickly to my request and arranged an assessment and caregivers within days. Adrianna and Raquel were especially wonderful. Quinton also helped establish my sister's Long Term Care benefits. We highly recommend Amada for their excellent care and support.
Amada has been so helpful to me as looked for the best living options for my mother. Quinton is amazing. He answered all my questions and provided guidance!
After having not so great experiences with local in-home caregivers from various companies for my disabled sister, Amada Senior Care is a breath of fresh air. My mother and I have had the incredible great fortune to have Caregiver Makeba helping with our situation. This person is not only the best I could have hoped for in caring for my mother, but she is also one of the best people I have had the pleasure to know. She has a blend of kindness, but a firmness to carry out her tasks. Once she had figured out my mom's routine, she needs no further direction. We NEVER have to tell her to do anything at all. She is doing it before we can even think to ask! She totally anticipates my mother's needs, and she can encourage her to do what her doctors say with a gentle nudge. She is very intelligent and resourceful. My mom feels like she has a new best friend! In this age where standards of excellence are slipping, Makeba is the example of how a caregiver should be. Amada Senior Care is very fortunate to have caregivers like her! A fantastic caregiver and a fantastic human being!
Thank you Amada for sending me Careguver Terry.
She is excellent. She is always in time for work. She dresses appropriate for her job. She is willing to work over if needed. Terry follows all ADLs, takes very good care of me and my dog, Gabby. She is a good and safe driver. I would love to have her more often .
This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in Greensboro is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy, and competence.
For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.

Amada Senior Care Greensboro
Quinton Kocher, owner of Amada Senior Care of Greensboro, understands his role goes far beyond being a business owner. Quinton is proud to serve families living in Greater Greensboro as a senior care advocate, and he is able to draw on 20-plus years of healthcare experience in the Triad area to do so. He leads a dedicated team of care coordinators and compassionate caregivers at Amada Greensboro who have made it their goal to deliver exceptional care services each and every day to families and their senior loved ones. Quinton is often called upon to educate families about the senior journey, as he did for this article about caregivers becoming like a member of the family.
With his first job after college being a case manager for adults with physical or mental disabilities, Quinton set on a career path of service to others, and this gave him a sense of purpose. Says Quinton, “I had a chance early on to ensure folks, most of whom I knew personally, received the occupational, medical and educational services they needed. During that time, I learned how resources and technology could improve the lives of people with disabilities.” This led Quinton into the promising field of high-tech implantable medical devices, where he spent 20 years seeing the difference that high-quality, personalized care can make in someone’s life.
“I have walked with thousands of people at different stages on their health care journeys over the years,” says Quinton. “My parents and in-laws, and their siblings who I love, are all aging and want to spend as many years as they can living independently. Our promise at Amada Greensboro is to maintain an unparalleled system of caring for seniors in their own homes, so they and their families have peace of mind. That’s what inspired me to own and operate Amada Senior Care of Greensboro — that, and a deeply rooted belief that we are all here for each other.”
Amada Greensboro is truly a family business. Teaming up with her son, Debbie Kocher serves as Director of Operations and brings a wealth of experience in business management and customer service. “My background is corporate property management for JP Morgan Chase and customer service roles with Aetna, Inc., as well as a North Carolina nonprofit,” says Debbie. “I know what it takes to make people comfortable and I enjoy collaborating with our team to positively impact lives in our community. When my own mother was in her 70s, our family was fortunate to find a wonderful caregiver whose reliable, competent and compassionate approach with my mom still inspires me today. That is one of the main reasons we are determined to provide quality services and help families access financial resources that could help pay for in-home care.”
