Quinton Kocher, owner of Amada Senior Care of Greensboro, understands his role goes far beyond being a business owner. Quinton is proud to serve families living in Greater Greensboro as a senior care advocate, and he is able to draw on 20-plus years of healthcare experience in the Triad area to do so. He leads a dedicated team of care coordinators and compassionate caregivers at Amada Greensboro who have made it their goal to deliver exceptional care services each and every day to families and their senior loved ones. Quinton is often called upon to educate families about the senior journey, as he did for this article about caregivers becoming like a member of the family.
With his first job after college being a case manager for adults with physical or mental disabilities, Quinton set on a career path of service to others, and this gave him a sense of purpose. Says Quinton, “I had a chance early on to ensure folks, most of whom I knew personally, received the occupational, medical and educational services they needed. During that time, I learned how resources and technology could improve the lives of people with disabilities.” This led Quinton into the promising field of high-tech implantable medical devices, where he spent 20 years seeing the difference that high-quality, personalized care can make in someone’s life.
“I have walked with thousands of people at different stages on their health care journeys over the years,” says Quinton. “My parents and in-laws, and their siblings who I love, are all aging and want to spend as many years as they can living independently. Our promise at Amada Greensboro is to maintain an unparalleled system of caring for seniors in their own homes, so they and their families have peace of mind. That’s what inspired me to own and operate Amada Senior Care of Greensboro — that, and a deeply rooted belief that we are all here for each other.”
Amada Greensboro is truly a family business. Teaming up with her son, Debbie Kocher serves as Director of Operations and brings a wealth of experience in business management and customer service. “My background is corporate property management for JP Morgan Chase and customer service roles with Aetna, Inc., as well as a North Carolina nonprofit,” says Debbie. “I know what it takes to make people comfortable and I enjoy collaborating with our team to positively impact lives in our community. When my own mother was in her 70s, our family was fortunate to find a wonderful caregiver whose reliable, competent and compassionate approach with my mom still inspires me today. That is one of the main reasons we are determined to provide quality services and help families access financial resources that could help pay for in-home care.”

Omigosh! This is the best company I have worked for. Adrienne and Lucretia are scheduling wizards. Not only is the staff awesome, but also you can talk to them about other issues. The owner Quinton is a great manager who is easy to talk to. Debbie who is the director of operations is super sweet and goes the extra mile; in fact, the entire office staff is willing to jump in and help when you need it. Every fellow caregiver I have met is really nice. We are all willing to share helpful tips.
When my father went into Hospice, we were frantically trying to find additional help. Amada reached out to us immediately and offered advice and help. They went above and beyond with their care to help us through such a hard time.
My mother's health was in rapid decline, leaving our family scrambling. Amada was referred to us by hospice center Beacon Place, where many others have experienced issues bought on by advancing cancer. The professionalism at Amada Greensboro provided the perfect relief in dealing with the new care guidelines that were going into place and were required for mom's future care at her community residence.
In a courteous and manner timely manner, Amada Greensboro contacted us and clearly explained the caregiving services they could offer. Our family appreciated how upfront and transparent Amada was about contracting their services.
Unfortunately, my mother had a fall in the early hours before Amada was scheduled to start services. Amada was genuinely concerned to hear the fall had resulted in end-of-life complications. The owners and staff reached out offering condolences.
Our family will continue to support Amada with referrals to other families in need. Thank you to Amada Greensboro for being there for us in our time of need.
This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in Greensboro is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy, and competence.
For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.
