We started with Amada Senior Care in September 2024 for my Mom. We were looking for a care giver to come home and care for my 91 year old mother while i was away for some urgent matter. I being the sole caregiver was very worried as my mother does not speak or understand much English so communication is difficult. I contacted Amada Senior Care and Judy responded and since then i feel like i met a kindred soul who understands how tough it is to leave a senior parent who does not understand or speak much and needs complete care. Judy found the perfect and most loving, caring and patient care giver one can find…..Marie! She took care of my Mom like i would with the utmost care, lots of love and patiently with compassion and kindness……right from waking up my Mom gently, bathing, cleaning and dressing her up and that includes putting on lotion, putting medication where needed, grooming my Mom and making her ready for the day. Then setting her up in her recliner and making the appropriate breakfast for Mom and feeding her alongwith her meds, cleaning her after eating. Marie would very lovingly talk to Mom and was gentle like a mother. Then Marie would take care of my Mom’s laundry….washing, drying and folding and putting away Mom’s clothes and bedding, making Mom’s bed and then making the appropriate lunch & dinner for Mom and feeding her. After dinner, Marie would take Mom to her bed from the family room and put her in bed, clean, change and then tuck Mom in bed like i would have. It was a relief to know that my Mom was taken care of like a family member while i was away. We had Marie for a while. Then we stopped. But whenever we have needed care for Mom, Judy has made sure that there would be the element of familiarity for my mother who knew Marie very well as a familiar face. My mom started recognising Marie and knew her name and would smile at her mention. Also when we would ask who cared for you Mom, my Mom would smile and answer Marie. We also had another caregiver…Kristin as a back up when Marie needed time off to take care of her stuff. Kristin was also good with mom….always talking and making a converstion even though Mom would not speak or understand. Kristin too was kind, loving and caring and patient with Mom. In March 2025, at 92 yrs, Mom had an aspiration which led her to be on the Ventilator for 3 days and there was a change in her diet and she was put on a pureed diet and could have only honey thick consistency liquids. We would always want Marie to be there for Mom as Mom knows Marie very well and now as she is like a child she needs that complete familiarity plus Marie knows everything about Mom and she does everything exactly as you want with the care and diet and follows the guidelines as per the care needed and specified by us and the doctors. So, when i had to be away again, i approached Amada Senior Care again and Judy came to the rescue by adjusting and scheduling Marie to care for my Mom. I was always comfortable and knew that even with the change in my Mom’s diet, Marie was the perfect choice to care for Mom. I explained Mom’s new schedule of diet and routine to Marie a day before i left and she did a wonderful job as always of being the perfect caregiver in my absence. She has taken care of Mom two times, for 15 days each time, after Mom’s diet restriction and there has not been a concern even once. So, i know that with Marie & Judy, my Mom was and will be well taken care of and smiling whenever we need them! A big thank you from our hearts!! You worked with me as we experienced various aides who were all excellent and skilled until we found the right one for us. Jackie was perfect and became a valued family member for us. She fit in perfectly and was the perfect balance of compassion and skilled care giving. And she could cook! I appreciated that if any issues arose, you were right on top of it. You made my brother’s life so much better, and for that I cannot thank you enough. You made my life so much easier and for that I also also cannot thank you enough. You even knew what I needed when Jim passed. The Spoonful of Love package was perfect and much needed and appreciated. I will not hesitate to request your services again in the future should I have the need.

Judy and Shelton made finding care for my aunt so easy and stress free. They really care about their clients. They worked with me thru all the aspects of identifying the degree of care needed, identifying caregivers and setting up schedules. They were always flexible, working around changes I made as needed. Even at the end, when it became apparent my aunt would need more round-the-clock, professional medical care, they still offered to help in locating the right facility for my aunt.
