Amada Cedar Rapids Joins Pickle with a Purpose to Support the Fight Against Alzheimer’s

Amada Senior Care of Cedar Rapids is proud to participate in Pickle with a Purpose on August 21, supporting the Alzheimer’s Association and the families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

As a provider of in-home senior care, Amada Cedar Rapids employs trained caregivers ready to compassionately assist with the challenges that memory loss can create for seniors and their loved ones.

“Events like this bring our community together to raise awareness, fund critical research, and provide valuable resources for those navigating the journey of Alzheimer’s,” says Laura Hartson, owner of Amada Cedar Rapids. “We invite our friends, partners, and neighbors to join us in making a meaningful difference—on and off the pickleball court.”

Amada and TRAIL are Empowering Older Adults

Amada Senior Care Cedar Rapids, IA is proud to support TRAIL (Tools and Resources for Active Independent Living), a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping older adults in Johnson County age safely, independently, and with meaningful community connections. Through resources, educational programs, volunteer services, and its annual Senior Housing & Services Guide, TRAIL empowers older adults and their families to make informed decisions about aging in place.

As a featured community partner, Amada Cedar Rapids is honored to contribute to a shared mission of enhancing the quality of life, independence, and well-being of seniors throughout Eastern Iowa.

This Veterans Day, our team was honored to attend the Hy-Vee Veterans Day Breakfast to recognize and thank local Veterans for their service and sacrifice.

Team Amada Senior Care Cedar Rapids recently came together to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, showing support for the clients and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

Eight members of our team walked together to honor the individuals we serve, stand alongside families navigating Alzheimer’s, and remember loved ones who have been lost to the disease.

Supporting efforts like the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is one way we remain committed to raising awareness and helping advance the fight for a future without Alzheimer’s.

We are proud of our team for representing Amada Senior Care and the compassionate care we strive to provide every day.
