Amada Senior Care Washington DC

In-Home Senior Care in Washington, DC, Georgetown, and Cleveland Park

Serving others has been one of Edward’s biggest motivators throughout his entire life. In elementary school, he and his stepmom would visit assisted living facilities with his beagle, Daisy, and spend time with the residents. Through his church, Edward would volunteer at local shelters and go on weekly summer mission trips to support nursing homes, paint houses, and serve in the community.

After teaching in DC for 7 years and working as a real estate agent for 5, Edward found he enjoyed his career, but something was missing. He knew he could do more, but wasn’t sure what that looked like. He wanted to help more people and have a greater impact, but how? Unfortunately, it clicked after his grandfather’s passing in 2025.

Edward saw firsthand how much his grandparents would have benefited from more support. How much of a difference a little more aid could have made. That observation was the final piece of the puzzle that made Edward decide to start his own Amada Senior Care company.

Amada Helps Veterans Fund Care

Non-medical caregiving for U.S. veterans includes a range of supportive services that enhance their daily lives and overall well-being. This can involve assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and companionship to combat loneliness. Caregivers can also provide emotional support, help with managing schedules, and offer respite care for family members. Additionally, they may assist with errands, mobility support, and engaging veterans in social and recreational activities to promote a sense of community and purpose. These services ensure that veterans maintain their independence while receiving the care and attention they deserve.
