I just want to be heard.
I gave everything I had as a caregiver with Amada — 40–60 hour weeks, full dedication, and love for the families I cared for. I spoke up for their safety, asking again and again that only trained caregivers be sent. Instead of support, I was ignored and then punished.
After June 16th, I was completely cut off. My hours were taken; i was told repeatedly there was no work to be had from june20th until july3rd. I was removed from AXIScare (so I couldn’t even see shifts) and taken off COAChUp — the portal that was supposed to recognize and uplift employees. My supervisor told me he was the “highest level” and that I could “only talk to him — not HR, not scheduling, not anyone else.” I was left isolated, erased, and voiceless.
Amada talks about God, family, grace, and Agape love. But I never experienced that. What I experienced was retaliation, abandonment, and hurt.
I can’t afford an attorney, and no one seems able to help me, but I refuse to stay silent. I want people to know the truth of how caregivers can be treated behind the scenes.

tl:dr Avoid Amada at all costs.
** I noticed that Amada received an especially glowing review from “Josh Gray”. Not surprising since his job title is Executive Leadership Team – Business Development @ Amada Senior Care Oklahoma.
I had surgery in July and my doctor referred me to Amada to schedule a sitter for a couple days afterwards. The care I received was substandard, borderline unethical and now Amada has refused to refund me for service I paid for in advance but didn’t receive. I can’t recommend this company; my suggestion is to use any other company that offers the same services.
The first “sitter” (Aide) got to my home right after I got home from the surgery center. My ex husband was there and he was going to Walgreens to pick up things I needed and the aide said that since he was going out, she’d order a pizza and he could pick it up for her – she also tried to get me to pay for her pizza!
After she ate her pizza, she said she had to watch tv or she’d fall asleep. I had been specifically told by Tiffani Scott that the aides are not allowed to sleep on the clock. I was in no position to argue with her, so I gave her the remote. Pizza and free streaming – that doesn’t sound like doing her job and also doesn’t sound like something I should pay for!
At one point, the aide said that I was doing so well that she was going to sit in her car so that I could rest – seriously??
The overnight aide the next night slept most of the night. What a great job – to get paid for sleeping in someone else’s house!
The nighttime aide on the third night was only here a few hours before I was taken to the ER by ambulance for respiratory failure around midnight. When I got in the ambulance, I told her that she needed to notify her boss that she was clocking out because I was going to the hospital, and she agreed. I was shocked when she showed up at the hospital! She said someone from Amada told her to stay at the hospital. Even though I told her to leave, she stayed in the exam room while the doctor was checking my incisions, standing right over me. I told her to stop, that I didn’t want her in the room, but she didn’t back off until the doctor told her to step back. This was absolutely a violation of privacy. Is this how Amada aides are trained to behave?
I was transferred to another hospital so I didn’t see that aide again, but I have since learned that she didn’t clock out until 7am, even though her service ended at midnight.
Unethical and fraudulent behavior is apparently approved by Amada management, because Amada is refusing to refund me for the hours I didn’t receive services – apparently they make you pay in advance AND they won’t give refunds even if you didn’t receive ANY services – that’s coming from Travis Rice in Amada administration.
When I was scheduling the service, I specifically asked if I could end the service early if I felt like I was doing fine and Tiffani Scott told me yes, I could cancel it. I was never told that I was paying in advance for services not yet received which was completely nonrefundable. Seems like that’s a company policy that should be disclosed upfront and emphasized several times.
Interestingly enough, Amada had me sign for the services I was paying for in advance, and the Intake Form had a section for what to do with unused funds -see picture. I selected that any unused funds should be returned to me, which explains why I expected a refund for services not received!
So that was my experience with Amada Senior Care. Run far, far away from Amada unless you’re okay with substandard care and unethical business practices.

We loved all the people who helped our dad. Unfortunately, we are due a refund of over $2000. It has been two months, with no refund. I called after about four weeks and was told it was “overlooked.” They assured me it would be sent the next day. Here we are four weeks plus later with no refund.

Brittany was sent as the caregiver for my husband. She is very nice and professional. She treated my husband with respect and listened when he talked with her. When he needed help or wanted to do something on his own, she was there to assist or watch. Tailoring her care to his needs is everything to us. 5 stars…The caregivers are wonderful. They treat your loved ones like family. They follow instructions and are mostly enthusiastic about being there. Every one that we’ve had has gone above and beyond.
2.5 stars…The administrators, however, are lacking in the communication department. It may seem harsh to deduct so much for that, but when they are responsible for services provided, scheduling, the right caregiver placement, etc. it’s kind of a big deal when they mess up…especially if it’s more than once or twice. They are nice to talk to, but they don’t lways follow through.

Our family’s situation with a beloved family member was truly difficult and very sensitive to deal with; it required immediate action because this family member’s situation was rapidly deteriorating. The most challenging aspect of the situation was that no one lived anywhere near them, so we found ourselves in a position where we were unable to provide any hands-on assistance and were left with trying to coordinate with neighbours, etc. the best we could.
When I contacted Amada Care, the situation was pretty dire, and I’m sure my first correspondence came across rather desperate. Rather than being put off, however, Travis and his team immediately responded to the call to action by scheduling an initial appointment and locating the best caregiver for our family’s situation.
Amada very quickly connected our beloved family member with a caregiver named Alexis. It is challenging to find just a few positive words to describe Alexis because she possesses so many wonderful qualities and was a perfect fit for our family member. Alexis hit the ground running as soon as she began and went above and beyond to care for our family member as if she were one of her own. Throughout her time with our family member, Alexis demonstrated extreme ownership, positivity, professionalism, and diligence. Alexis is the type of worker who gives her profession a great name and reputation! I hold her in such high regard both professionally and personally. Thank you, Alexis! =)

My mother in law has Alzheimer’s, so Amada was our eyes and ears when we chose to let her stay in her senior living facility for as long as we could. Amada helped her with daily needs such as laundry, cleaning, medication and even going to church. Their caregivers are compassionate and nice.
Amada’s team kept us informed and worked with us to specialize her care. They even took care of billing her long term care plan which was a bonus. I would highly recommend using them.

Amanda Senior Care is the best company out their they care for me in every way possible, I wouldn’t ever use another company, all the care takers I have ever had have been awesome with Amanda and the one I have now goes above and beyond for me. I am very satisfied with Amada Senior Care and partcularly with the care provided by TyLyshis. My parents are 90 and 92. Ty gives them lots of hands on attention, from massaging their hands with lotion to playing music from her phone for them while she sits and visits with them. She made the effort to give Dad lots of attention so she could gain his trust so that he will allow her to assist him with his care. She is dependable, I don’t have to worry with Ty on the job, I know shes going to show up. She has a loving and gracious spirit and I believe she is an answer to prayer. Thank you TyLyshia
