Amada Senior Care Tucson
Dr. Chris and Christina Ram, owners of Amada Senior Care Tucson, have been advocates of health and wellness for as long as they can remember. Christina frequently is called upon to educate families about the many intricacies of the senior journey, as she did for this article about her team’s compassionate caregivers who become like key members of the family.
With the large population of elderly individuals in Tucson, Chris and Christina agree that well-vetted, compassionate and committed caregivers are a necessity. Chris and Christina are proud to own Amada Senior Care Tucson and are committed to improving the quality of lives of seniors residing in Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Catalina, Catalina Foothills, Saddlebrooke, Green Valley, Sahuarita, Sierra Vista and surrounding communities.
Dr. Chris Ram has helped thousands of patients (many of them seniors) with chiropractic care in Tucson and Southern California for more than 20 years. Christina has been by his side on the chiropractic end, while both have professionally advised people on nutrition, physical fitness and lifestyle choices to create optimum health and longevity. They have made it a goal that Amada Senior Care Tucson caregivers exceed clients’ expectations. Daily tasks such as cleaning, preparing meals and attending personal care needs add up to small essentials of what we do. Their true benchmark for providing superior care are the myriad things done to enrich each client’s life by creating positive experiences whenever possible.

Amada has, for the past year and continuing, provided 24/7 care both for my brother, until he recently passed, and ongoing for his spouse. From the very beginning until now, the care has been first rate in every way. The owner, Christina Ram, has been unfailingly helpful: she met personally with my brother and spouse, has provided excellent caretakers, has been at all times accessible and responsive to all questions and concerns I have had. As an example, I required assistance both for my brother and his spouse in jumping through the necessary hoops to establish claims with their long term insurance carrier. Amada handled this process promptly and successfully on my behalf. As my brother and surviving spouse needed care in Tucson and I live in California, I am very relieved that I can rely entirely on Amada for the ongoing care, and recommend them highly.
When my mother was diagnosed with ALS we knew she would eventually need caregivers with special training. I spoke with so many agencies, and most said as she progressed they could refer us to other agencies. Living on the East Coast it was important to me that not only did my mother have the care she needed but that my Dad had respite care to take care of his health.
It was important to us that as her disease progressed her caregivers were as consistent as possible. Our schedule started light, just a few hours a day a few days a week, but turned into 24/7 care. She has several caregivers who were there through most of her illness and Amada provided training specific to this horrible disease.
Several began to feel like part of the family including one who when I visited my mom would nod her head when I said "oh you just love her more than me know".
Communication was great, with a 2 and 3 our time difference I sometimes called before the office opened. Someone always answered the phone and returned my call as soon as the office opened.
Thank you, Christina, for your supportive email on International Women’s Day. Empowerment for women has been a priority of mine beginning with my daughter, continuing with high school and university students whom I have taught and educating women through non-profit organizations whether at the local or national level. You’re right that it is a calling and one that I enjoy in spite of the challenges or all the more rewarding because of the challenges.
In SaddleBrooke, I find that many elderly surviving spouses are women who have not handled family business matters. It is so gratifying to help them navigate insurance policies, bank accounts, bill paying. Presenting our Planning Ahead handbook to couples also is mutually satisfying when women begin to feel empowered at they work with their husbands to fill in their household information.
I especially want to thank you for being a resource for Senior Village, one that eases the burden of caregiving both spouses. Today I attended the celebration of life for Wayne Kopren. What a wonderful gift you have given to them with your helpful staff. Barbara could not have survived these past couple years with you and Amada and will continue to rely on you.
With gratitude and respect,
Stephanie Thomas,
Forms and Documents Team Leader
Senior Village
This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in Tucson is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy, and competence.
For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.
The team at Amada Senior Care Tucson has years of experience with senior care in Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Catalina, Catalina Foothills, Saddlebrooke, Green Valley, Sahuarita, Sierra Vista and surrounding communities. As a result, we have deep knowledge of all local care communities and can make sure our clients find the ideal placement to suit their care needs, locations, lifestyles, and budgets.
We also rely on our extensive experience to help our clients make full use of all benefits available to them, including veterans’ benefits and Long-Term Care Insurance benefits. The costs of assisted living may intimidate many families, but we can help them make financial decisions with confidence. To further ease cost concerns, the Amada Tucson team is pleased to offer its placement services free of charge.
When in-home care is no longer ideal for our clients, we are honored to guide them through this next phase. Our specialty is referring seniors to the right community or placement for them, which may include:
- Assisted living communities
- Large and small communities
- Independent living communities
- Board and care homes
- Adult family homes
- Senior care homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Alzheimer/dementia communities
Many of our veterans, their spouses and their families may not be aware of their potential eligibility for financial assistance from the government.
