Amada Senior Care Tucson
Dr. Chris and Christina Ram, owners of Amada Senior Care Tucson, have been advocates of health and wellness for as long as they can remember. Christina frequently is called upon to educate families about the many intricacies of the senior journey, as she did for this article about her team’s compassionate caregivers who become like key members of the family.
Christina’s and Chris’s eyes were opened wide to the very real need for compassionate, responsible senior care within their Tucson community after Christina’s mother fell severely ill to a urinary tract infection (UTI) that went septic. Christina remembers getting the call from her aunt informing her that her mother had been found after spending 12 hours on the floor of her bedroom, burning up with fever and unable to get to her feet. Once she was admitted to the ER, the doctors where having a very difficult time chasing the infection and informed Christina’s family of the delicate situation their mother was facing.
“I remember walking in to see my mother who didn’t recognize me initially,” says Christina. “Once she realized who I was, we both started crying and she proceeded to tell me about her no resuscitation wishes. I was praying that my mother would pull through. When she finally did, the doctor was ready to discharge right away and we found ourselves scrambling to find her a caregiver because she could not be left alone and she was still extremely weak.”
Adds Christina, “It was a stressful whirlwind of activity trying to prepare for my mom’s return home—home modifications, purchasing of equipment, and, most importantly, a caregiver we could trust to keep her safe, well nourished and comfortable. We finally found Jonathan and he was perfect! Jonathan was attentive to my mom’s needs, respected her space and privacy while keeping her safety a top priority. He cooked for her and kept her house tidy, drove her to get her medications and talked long hours with her in shared conversation about their common interests. My mom adored Jonathan, and it was her positive experience that convinced me that we need more caregivers like Jonathan in Tucson.”
With the large population of elderly individuals in Tucson, Chris and Christina agree that well-vetted, compassionate and committed caregivers are a necessity. Chris and Christina are proud to own Amada Senior Care Tucson and are committed to improving the quality of lives of seniors residing in Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Catalina, Catalina Foothills, Saddlebrooke, Green Valley, Sahuarita, Sierra Vista and surrounding communities.
Dr. Chris Ram has helped thousands of patients (many of them seniors) with chiropractic care in Tucson and Southern California for more than 20 years. Christina has been by his side on the chiropractic end, while both have professionally advised people on nutrition, physical fitness and lifestyle choices to create optimum health and longevity. They have made it a goal that Amada Senior Care Tucson caregivers exceed clients’ expectations. Daily tasks such as cleaning, preparing meals and attending personal care needs add up to small essentials of what we do. Their true benchmark for providing superior care are the myriad things done to enrich each client’s life by creating positive experiences whenever possible.

Just wanted to say with Thanksgiving upon us that I would like to share how very grateful my sister, Sonya, and I are that Victor has Amada services. Without your caregivers dedication our brother would likely not be able to live as comfortably as he is for now in his home. At times I feel I may burden your staff with requests- but everyone has been very pleasant to deal with. The concerns associated with monitoring Victor’s well being from the other side of the nation have been made less difficult due to Amada’s efforts. Thank you!
A quick note of appreciation to you and your staff in the caregiving and transition to assisted living for Mom. Can't thank you enough for you advice, help and guidance through such a difficult time. You were absolutely right in the Park Villas being a good fit. Suzy is doing well and I am finally at peace with her health and safety.
Amada Senior Care came highly recommended, and I am very glad we chose them for my elderly mother’s in-home care. They made the initial process, including contacting and working with insurance, run smoothly, and my mother has been pleased with the caregivers and all the help they provide. Communicating with Amada’s staff has been a pleasure. They are responsive and caring. When my mother suddenly needed a wheelchair, for instance, a staff member took care of the rental and personally delivered the wheelchair to my mother’s home, all within an hour.
This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in Tucson is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy, and competence.
For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.
