Amada Senior Care Tucson
Dr. Chris and Christina Ram, owners of Amada Senior Care Tucson, have been advocates of health and wellness for as long as they can remember. Their eyes were opened wide to the very real need for compassionate, responsible senior care within their Tucson community after Christina’s mother fell severely ill to a urinary tract infection (UTI) that went septic. Christina remembers getting the call from her aunt informing her that her mother had been found after spending 12 hours on the floor of her bedroom, burning up with fever and unable to get to her feet. Once she was admitted to the ER, the doctors where having a very difficult time chasing the infection and informed Christina’s family of the delicate situation their mother was facing.
“I remember walking in to see my mother who didn’t recognize me initially,” says Christina. “Once she realized who I was, we both started crying and she proceeded to tell me about her no resuscitation wishes. I was praying that my mother would pull through. When she finally did, the doctor was ready to discharge right away and we found ourselves scrambling to find her a caregiver because she could not be left alone and she was still extremely weak.”
Adds Christina, “It was a stressful whirlwind of activity trying to prepare for my mom’s return home—home modifications, purchasing of equipment, and, most importantly, a caregiver we could trust to keep her safe, well nourished and comfortable. We finally found Jonathan and he was perfect! Jonathan was attentive to my mom’s needs, respected her space and privacy while keeping her safety a top priority. He cooked for her and kept her house tidy, drove her to get her medications and talked long hours with her in shared conversation about their common interests. My mom adored Jonathan, and it was her positive experience that convinced me that we need more caregivers like Jonathan in Tucson.”
With the large population of elderly individuals in Tucson, Chris and Christina agree that well-vetted, compassionate and committed caregivers are a necessity. Chris and Christina are proud to own Amada Senior Care Tucson and are committed to improving the quality of lives of seniors residing in Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Catalina, Catalina Foothills, Saddlebrooke, Green Valley, Sahuarita, Sierra Vista and surrounding communities.
Dr. Chris Ram has helped thousands of patients (many of them seniors) with chiropractic care in Tucson and Southern California for more than 20 years. Christina has been by his side on the chiropractic end, while both have professionally advised people on nutrition, physical fitness and lifestyle choices to create optimum health and longevity. They have made it a goal that Amada Senior Care Tucson caregivers exceed clients’ expectations. Daily tasks such as cleaning, preparing meals and attending personal care needs add up to small essentials of what we do. Their true benchmark for providing superior care are the myriad things done to enrich each client’s life by creating positive experiences whenever possible.

The support that Amada Senior Care provided my parents as we have been navigating the progression of my mom's dementia brought us so much comfort and peace of mind. The incredible compassion Amada Tucson owner Cristina's caregiving team shows my mom is second only to our family’s love for her.
They make sure she is safe but also active and stimulated, including fun adventures like walks, swinging on swings at the playground, ice cream trips, mani-pedi pampering, and more. They are attentive to her feelings and her energy level despite the fact that my mom no longer has the ability to speak. They also know when to spend time on quieter activities like doing puzzles and coloring books or just watching a favorite movie. The caregivers are committed to her as a whole person, looking out for the health of her mind, body and spirit.
This is not the first in-home care company we have worked with because my parents are snowbirds. So, we have experienced different in-home care agencies. Because we had experienced some pretty big bumps in the road with the other agencies, we had some trepidations. None of those agencies could hold a candle to what Christina and the Amada Tucson team has handled with excellence from a care standpoint as well as management of her long-term care insurance policy.
I highly recommend Amada Senior Care in Tucson. They have been absolutely amazing, and I’m not sure what we would do without them. A huge thank-you to Christina and all of her team for caring for my mom like she is a member of their own families!
Dear Amada Family -- My everlasting thanks to each and every one of you for the tender care and attention you so willingly gave to our Don. His passing is a great loss to us, but your care of him left us filled with gratitude for the personal attention to him you gave. Blessings will follow each of you. I am sure Don will see to that.
God Bless with love,
Cathie Zipfel and Family
We have been receiving care now for several months and couldn't be happier with our caregiver and Amada. They are very responsive to our needs and Christina was able to get our Long Term Care insurance claim paid even after Genworth tried to deny that there was a need for care. I highly recommend Amada if you need caregiving services. They are honest, trustworthy and very caring.
This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in Tucson is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy, and competence.
For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.
The team at Amada Senior Care Tucson has years of experience with senior care in Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Catalina, Catalina Foothills, Saddlebrooke, Green Valley, Sahuarita, Sierra Vista and surrounding communities. We also rely on our extensive experience to help our clients make full use of all benefits available to them, including veterans’ benefits and Long-Term Care Insurance benefits. The costs of assisted living may intimidate many families, but we can help them make financial decisions with confidence. To further ease cost concerns, the Amada Tucson team is pleased to offer its placement services free of charge.
