Amada Toledo Supports the Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Every year Amada Toledo joins the global community in observing World Alzheimer’s Day, dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. This initiative has grown into World Alzheimer’s Month, a time to advocate, educate, and challenge stigmas surrounding dementia.

At Amada Senior Care Toledo, we are deeply committed to supporting seniors and their families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. Participating in events like the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is one way we show our dedication. As proud supporters of the Alzheimer’s Association, we were honored to take part in this year’s walk, joining thousands of participants across 600 U.S. communities.

Our team of trained and compassionate caregivers at Amada Senior Care of Toledo excels at caring for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Dwight Smith, owner of Amada Toledo, voluntarily serves as a community educator on Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory care.  Being his father was diagnosed with dementia in 2009, Dwight brings a high level of insight and experience to the kind of care and enrichment required by senior patients and the respite support that family caregivers need. He frequently speaks to community groups and gives his time to organizations as a subject matter expert on caregiving for dementia and Alzheimer’s.
