Phil Jacobson  is the owner of Amada Senior Care Salt Lake City West , and he and his wife, Janni, believe strongly in caring for each of their clients as if they were members of their own family. This is much more than a mission statement for the Jacobsons, but an expression of their conviction that all seniors deserve to live in safety, comfort and dignity. Part of what motivates Phil and Janni’s dedication to providing the highest quality of senior care is their personal experiences with elder care, both in-home and at a nursing home.

When Janni’s grandmother was 90 years old, she moved in to help care for her. Janni says, “It gave my parents such peace of mind to know I was there helping her, taking her shopping

and just spending time with her.” Now, Janni is able to use her position with Amada Salt Lake City West to provide personalized care for seniors whose families may be unable to do so.

Non-medical caregiving for U.S. veterans includes a range of supportive services that enhance their daily lives and overall well-being. This can involve assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and companionship to combat loneliness. Caregivers can also provide emotional support, help with managing schedules, and offer respite care for family members. Additionally, they may assist with errands, mobility support, and engaging veterans in social and recreational activities to promote a sense of community and purpose. These services ensure that veterans maintain their independence while receiving the care and attention they deserve.

Phil Jacobson had an entirely different senior care experience. He recalls, “My earliest interaction with providing care for a senior was with my grandfather. When I was a young boy, my mother would take me to visit him in the nursing home almost every week. I remember thinking, “I wonder if he likes it here.” The home provided good care, but I still wonder if my grandfather would have enjoyed the twilight years of his life even more if he had been able to live more independently and in his own home. At Amada Senior Care, we are proud to give families that option.”

At Amada Senior Care Salt Lake City West , we are proud to provide personalized care to residents of Cottonwood Heights, South Salt Lake, Draper, South Jordan, West Jordan, Alpine, Riverton, and other local communities.

In addition to providing in-home senior care, our Amada Salt Lake City West team also assists clients and their families with other care needs. We can help your family locate the ideal senior living community to keep your loved one healthy and happy, help you understand senior care funding options and even provide workers’ compensation services.

Because we treat our clients as if they were our family members, Amada Salt Lake City West is able to provide personalized and compassionate guidance and assistance with every step of the senior care journey.
