Working with Amanda Senior Care has been a Godsend for our family. My sister and I live out of state and our parents were in need of help. We can’t say enough good things about every aspect of their agency: – the administration (Lisa and Nelly) have EXCELLENT communication with us. They monitor our parents and let us know immediately if there’s a problem so we can take action. They also have an excellent online documentation system where the caregivers write their daily notes that we can access too. – the care giving staff have been exceptional. They help feed and assist with ADL’s with our mom and have been wonderful helping coordinate care between the ALF and her Hospice team. FRANCINE goes above and beyond in assisting our dad. She keeps the house impeccably clean and well-organized. She helps Dad plan his meals, cooks and shops when needed and has a beautiful way of connecting with him. Amada has been a welcome addition to my mom’s caregiving team. Her needs recently changed, requiring additional caregiving hours and Amada helped fill in some of the gaps we could not cover. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been friendly and understanding. One of the caregivers, Kenya, has become a friend to my mom, who describes her as a “wonderful person.” In addition to keeping my mom company, Kenya ensures she does her physical therapy exercises, prepares “great meals” and helps with some light housekeeping. Though my mom was initially anxious about having another new person in the house, Kenya quickly put her at ease. She is a wonderful companion. Nelly, one of the schedulers, has been wonderful to deal with as we navigate changing needs. She is a good listener, compassionate and caring.
