Celebrating the Heart Behind the Work — National Social Work Month

This March, we had the privilege of co-hosting a special appreciation event for the incredible social workers in our community. We invited local social workers to a relaxing day at the nail salon, treating them to manis/pedis, drinks, food, and goodie bags — because they deserve to be celebrated!

Social workers are the unsung heroes who show up every day for our most vulnerable community members, and we are grateful for everything they do. It was a joy to spend time with such a dedicated and passionate group of professionals. Thank you for all that you give — this one was for you!

February Caregiver of the Month

Since joining our team, Erica has been committed to a couple’s case, frequently working six to seven days a week. She is dependable, communicative, and consistently goes above and beyond for her clients. Both her clients and their family truly value and appreciate her care. During the recent snowy and icy weather, Erica made it to her shifts two weekends in a row without any issues. Her reliability and strong work ethic make a meaningful difference for both her clients and our office team.

December Caregiver of the Month

“Jennifer is one of our most reliable overnight caregivers, and we are proud to recognize her as our December Caregiver of the Month.

We never have to worry when Jennifer is on shift. She is compassionate, thorough, and incredibly versatile, consistently providing exceptional care to every client she serves. Jennifer has stepped in to cover multiple shifts on very little notice and shines everywhere she goes.

This month, she went above and beyond by arriving on time, or early, for every shift, even during challenging winter weather. She also supported our team by providing in-home training for a new caregiver, helping ensure continuity of care and easing the load on our staffing team.

Jennifer’s dedication, flexibility, and positive attitude make a meaningful difference for both our clients and our team. We are truly grateful to have her with us. Congratulations, Jennifer!”

Amada Greensboro Celebrates National Caregiver Value Award Recipients

Amada Senior Care Greensboro is incredibly honored to announce that two of their exceptional team members, Vida and Jessie, have been awarded the prestigious Amada National Caregiver of the Year Award for 2024. Out of nearly 10,000 caregivers across the Amada Senior Care network nationwide, only six individuals receive this honor annually—and this year, two of those winners are from Amada Greensboro!

These awards are based on Amada’s Caregiver 6 Cs, which represent the core values we uphold in caregiving: Commitment, Communication, Confidently Humble, Competence, Compassionate, and Comforting. Jessie was recognized for being Communicative, while Vida was awarded for her Compassion.

In addition to Jessie and Vida, five outstanding caregivers from Greensboro—Joyce, Jessie, Vida, Cheryl, and Carolyn—were nominated for this incredible recognition. Their dedication and compassion exemplify the very best in caregiving, making our entire Greensboro team a source of pride.

As part of this honor, Jessie and Vida were invited to join the other four award recipients for an all-expenses-paid trip to Orange County, California, to attend Amada’s Annual Conference. The conference included a luxurious stay at a resort, spa treatments, a day on the water, and other exciting experiences to celebrate their exceptional contributions to caregiving.

Amada Greensboro recently hosted a Wine & Cheese event at The Village at Brookwood, a nonprofit Life Plan Community in Burlington, NC, that provides exceptional senior care services.

From independent living to assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care, The Village at Brookwood is dedicated to supporting older adults.

This engaging event offered a fantastic opportunity for the Amada Greensboro team to connect with residents, celebrate community, and highlight their shared commitment to compassionate senior care. Events like these demonstrate Amada’s dedication to enhancing the lives of seniors through meaningful interactions and partnerships.

Quinton Kocher, Owner of Amada Greensboro, proudly held the position of Treasurer for the Triad Retirement Living Association in 2023.

Quinton is currently an active member on the Helping Hands Committee and participates in monthly meetings and events, advocating for senior care excellence and building meaningful partnerships.
