Amada Senior Care is Wonderful! Tameka – Scheduler is absolutely fantastic at her job and as a person. She takes great care of her patients and is very understanding and caring of their needs. Nick made promises that he kept, which was also absolutely amazing and he returns calls, or texts even on his days off. Their caregivers that they send out to your home are fantastic and I have fallen in love with them. They treat my Pops with the utmost respect, kindness and may I say Love. They have just fallen for Pops and you can see the kindness and respect just pouring out of them while caring for them. If it weren’t for Tameka, I don’t know what I would have done. Transferring your care from one agency to another is very scary, thinking that they are all the same, but rest assured, they are not. I wish I would have had Amada from the very beginning of this journey, it would have been the difference between night and day.
Amada has been helping me care for my mom for about a year. I needed someone to stay with her while I’m at work after she had a stroke. The first care taker they sent us was… sketchy. They took my concerns very seriously. They found a replacement as quickly as they could. They have since completely overhauled their hiring process and increased their security checks. They have taken steps to be sure this doesn’t happen again. We have had some small issues with reliability. That is mostly due to us living on the northern edge of Amada’s territory. Most of their staff live in Indianapolis and don’t want to drive up here. In this economy I don’t really blame them. But I do have to occasionally miss work because the care taker called off. The office staff handled everything with my mom’s insurance. They were easy to work with and responded in a timely manner.

I’ve been using Amada Senior Care of Central Indiana for over 6 months to provide caregivers to assist my mother (age 95 with dementia) & her husband (age 96) so they can continue to live in their home & avoid moving into a nursing facility. The quality of in-home caregiving has been excellent. Staff has actively interacted with them giving them a boost of social interaction along with anticipatory compassionate care. I make a personal visit once or twice a week & every time all is in order & they are cheerful. We’ve had to change certain caregivers because of communication difficulties (both mom & father-in-law are hard of hearing) & cultural differences but each time Amada has successfully been able to quickly find an alternative caregiver who has worked out well. Amada has a superb 24-7 scheduling service that I simply call if there is a question or concern like illness or need for temporary schedule change. I‘ve found the scheduling service quite helpful & valuable. Amada is receptive to my suggestions regarding mom/father-in-law’s preferences & adjustments that have been required because of their declining capabilities. Amada truly seems to have a team approach to caregiving which gives me assurance that mom & father-in-law are getting the best care possible. Despite the toll dementia takes on mom & her husband, both remain happy residing at home thanks to Amada! As long as they remain happy & well cared for, I will continue using Amada Senior Care services.
I’d like to thank Amada for caring for my mom. It gave us such a sense of security to know someone was with her, helping her with the essentials of everyday living, doing some light housekeeping and food prep, and socializing with her through fun activities like watercolors, puzzles, and even filling up her birdfeeders, which gave her and dad such joy! After a stroke, my husband came home from acute rehab I specifically requested a caregiver who could transfer him from/to wheelchair/bed/lift chair. The first caregiver Amada sent was excellent and we quickly entrusted her to care for my husband and she surpassed all expectations. However, she couldn’t be here 24/7 so other caregivers were also sent to cover other shifts. At such a difficult and stressful time in our lives, this company was the cause 50% of my stress. They constantly sent CGs out that didn’t even know how to use a gait belt let alone transfer someone safely. (You’d think they’d be concerned about their own liability). The communication with the scheduler was poor to non-existent. There were so many no-shows and late arrivals that the scheduler did not communicate about in advance. At times, I wouldn’t know if I had a CG arriving on Saturday morning at 8:00 am until late Friday night, even though I was informed she had someone lined up, and often the name given didn’t match the name of the person who arrived. Imagine a stranger arriving at your home first thing in the morning that you had never met before and expecting them to dress and care for your loved one? Then find out that the CG had no experience in transferring someone, which is the ONLY thing I needed help with. The real problem with this is that I spoke with the OWNER, Belinda, about the issues and they persisted. Sure they credited my account for some hours after the fact but that didn’t help me when I needed a qualified CG who they couldn’t deliver. Do yourself and your loved one a favor and pass over this company. They simply don’t have what it takes to hire and train good caregivers.
I just have to share my amazing experience with Amada Senior Care. The staff is absolutely fantastic! They provide top-notch in-home care with such professionalism and responsibility. What really stands out to me is the love and compassion they show to their clients. It’s truly heartwarming. If you’re looking for high-quality care, look no further. I highly recommend them !

How is Aid and Attendance Eligibility Determined?
1. Military Service
- A minimum of 90 days of active duty, with at least one of those days during wartime.
- Must not have been dishonorable discharged.
2. Personal Care Needs
- Applicant must currently require assistance with activities of daily living, such as walking, eating, toileting, or dressing.
3.Income
- Majority of applicant’s income must currently be spent on care expenses.
- The percentage of income currently spent on care will determine the benefits they receive.
4.Assets
- The VA will determine an acceptable threshold for applicants’ assets.
- Determination of financial assets will depend upon age and financial need.
How VA Aid and Attendance Benefits can Help You:
