My family’s experience with Amada Senior Care has been incredible! After having a bad experience with another local home care provider I was desperately looking for a new company. Fortunately, I was referred to Amada. Amada’s owner and staff were quick to respond to my inquiry and set up an initial meeting the next day. From my first conversation with Kirby, the owner, I could tell that Amada’s business philosophy was different than other companies I had interviewed. Kirby and the team at Amada sincerely value patient/family care over the ‘bottom line.’ They were able to get 24/7 care coordinated for us within two days. All of the home aids were professional, courteous and seemed to genuinely care about my aunt and uncle. I felt very comfortable leaving my aunt and uncle in Amada’s care. Amada set up a consistent schedule of aids coming each week. With the other company I had used it was a constant revolving door of different aids who were sent each week (and missed shifts). Amada never failed to fill a shift–if someone called off last minute they had staff available to fill in. This was a great relief to me as I didn’t have to constantly worry about being stuck without an aid on-site. For anyone who has ever had to use a home care provider, you know it’s not easy to leave your loved one with a stranger. But, after my experience with Amada I would recommend them to anyone in a similar situation, without hesitation.

I have been caregiving with Amada Columbus and it’s been a great experience. The Office staff are kind and make sure the caregivers have what they need.
Let me start by stating I unfortunately lost my father this past March. He had health issues and then fell and shattered his hip. He had to have emergency surgery and then rehab. Due to Covid, we as a family were not able to visit him physically. This, in addition to some set backs, proved to put him on a difficult path to recovery. I googled home health care. That is how I found Amada. I emailed them and Kirby called me immediately back. He spent quite a bit of time on the phone explaining their services and options. I shared the information with my Mom but she wasn’t convinced my Dad was in need of these services. In the mean time, I let Kirby know. He STILL made sure to offer his knowledge and help if I just needed to talk. Long story short, after my Dad declined quickly, we were in quick need of help. My Mom wanted to bring my Dad home. I called Kirby and his colleague Mike. They made things happen, and made it so easy on us. I cannot begin to thank them for the care they provided the last month of my Dad’s life. They and their care givers are absolute angels in an awful time of need. We as a family could not have been there forever my Dad without them. My husband decided to come home from the hospital with Hospice late on a Saturday afternoon. I was given Amada’s information to provide care giver support for the night shift. They were able to provide a care giver 2 hours later. The young man who came to help us was Aloysius. He was able to connect with my husband as both had military experience. Aloysius was with my husband for quite a few night shifts, allowing me to get some rest. My husband felt very comfortable when Aloysius was here and was happy to know when he was coming. Although the other care givers Amada provided were competent and caring, Aloysius was my husbands favorite. After my husband passed Aloysius called me to say how sorry he was, which I felt showed how much he cared about the patients he took care of. He is a very special young man and I strongly recommend him if you require a caregiver to help with a family member!

I can’t express what a God-send Kirby and the team at Amada were for me and my stepdad when my mom was going through a health crisis a couple of years ago. It was a very difficult time and we didn’t know which way to turn to get care. Thank goodness that one of my friends connected us with Amada and Kirby. Kirby and his team came right out, sat with us and worked through options and even worked directly with insurance to make sure everything was covered. At that time we only needed part-time care and they were able to cover all the shifts that were needed with caring and compassionate workers who were able to assist mom and keep her engaged.
