We moved a family member with dementia from N.C. into an independent living apartment at Alexian Village on Signal Mountain a little more than a year ago. It quickly became apparent that she wasn’t capable of attending to the various activities of daily living required to live independently so we reached out to Chris Ray, CEO of Amada Senior Care. Chris came to our house, explained the available options and quickly established a coverage care plan for 12 hours a day, seven days a week. It should be noted that this relative is an extremely difficult person to work with and a real challenge for caregivers to attend to. Chris made personnel changes as required to accommodate this challenging personality with the result that the care plan is now running smoothly. Whenever there was a hiccup (and there were many) Chris was there for us and quickly made necessary adjustments to enable the family member to continue living independently. When we went on vacation, Chris was able to arrange for 24/7 care so we wouldn’t worry while away. This family member now requires continuous 24/7 care and, with Chris’ help, all is running smoothly. We cannot praise the professionalism of Chris and the Amada caregivers highly enough. They have taken the burden of caring for this relative off our shoulders, an incredible relief for us as we were just about out of patience. We’re no longer subjected to the drama a day that was occurring before Amada entered the picture and have been able to resume living our normal lives. Thank you Chris and Amada for providing us with the peace of mind that comes from knowing the family member is receiving the care required to continue to live independently.
I had to use Chris and his staff in an emergency situation. They were wonderful! This was not an easy situation and everyone worked with me and made things so much easier.
