I’ve cared for my Mom and my older handicapped Sister for decades here at our home. In the last 2-3 years in-home 24/7 help was required. Not knowing what to do I chose a large well known National Care Provider Org. I assumed the quality of care was going to be appropriate to the $5K per week bill they were charging – well it’s not – poorly run – they “plant” a warm body in your home and then talk to you like they care…when they don’t. I had to do something different and found Amada (a year too late). They’re run with a small company customer friendly attitude from the TOP down. The people in charge actually care. They visit here regularly during start-up and check in always as things move along. Very personable. Very attentive. Quick to react to any issues that might arise. Management from the National outfit never came once. Amada is always attentive to my needs. Always responsive. If I could give them 10 Stars here I would. I would say 8 out of 10 CNA’s they sent were wonderful. The other large National company – I’ll score them 2 out of 10 – but the real difference is when something doesn’t go right…Amada pays attn and cares…the other National…”lip service – thanks for the cash”. Save yourself the heartache of watching thousands of dollars a week go to a company who accepts people literally sleeping on the job and call Amada instead.
