Non-medical caregiving for U.S. veterans includes a range of supportive services that enhance their daily lives and overall well-being. This can involve assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and companionship to combat loneliness. Caregivers can also provide emotional support, help with managing schedules, and offer respite care for family members. Additionally, they may assist with errands, mobility support, and engaging veterans in social and recreational activities to promote a sense of community and purpose. These services ensure that veterans maintain their independence while receiving the care and attention they deserve.

Cesar and Kelli and their team at AMADA are amazing. I have seen first hand how they care for the seniors in their community and the passion that they have to ensure that these seniors enjoy their golden years. Kelli really does a great job at creating a care plan that is tailored to their client’s needs and makes sure that the family is updated around every turn. I would highly recommend a call to AMADA for some direction when your loved one needs care.

The people they send to your house have absolutely no skills, training or common sense. There are call-outs that result in nobody being sent to the home to care for clients and they don’t notify you until after they should have been there. Not professional, not reliable, not consistent. Absolute bare minimum job.

Becoming an Amada caregiver is a deeply rewarding experience, filled with moments of genuine connection and compassion. It offers the opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life, whether by providing companionship, assisting with daily tasks, or simply offering a comforting presence. The role fosters patience, empathy, and a profound appreciation for the strength and resilience of others. Seeing the impact of your kindness and care firsthand brings a unique sense of fulfillment, turning everyday moments into meaningful acts of service and love.

Amada Senior Care The Villages: A Personal Story

Kelli Staab and Cesar Pumariega, owners of Amada Senior Care The Villages, know from personal experience the significant difference quality care can make in the lives of seniors and their families. “Central Florida has always been a fantastic place for seniors to live, and it’s our privilege to help them live their best life.”

Cesar says, “I am a third-generation pharmacist with over 35 years of experience helping patients, especially seniors, achieve the best results from their medication therapy. I am also a consultant pharmacist certified in medication therapy management. Through some life experiences involving a couple of close family members, I have seen the positive impact that good in-home senior care had on the lives of my loved ones. I also have the honor and privilege of serving on the board of directors for a nonprofit organization that gave over 500,000 meals to needy kids and seniors in the Lake County area,” adds Cesar, who with his wife of 37 years, are proud grandparents to four of “the most beautiful grandkids ever.”

Kelli recalls a happy childhood growing up with her grandparents “giving me the foundation of my love for healthcare.” She adds, “I have 10 years of cardiovascular patient care and several years of home health care experience. Whether it was providing care for my grandparents or the patients in my career, caregiving has been the most influential and humbling experience. I look forward to providing our senior community with compassionate customized care,” says Kelli, adding that she and her husband of 14 years “are blessed with three beautiful children.”
