  • 6+ hours per year of caregiver training supported by the Alzheimer’s Association.
  • 4 Certified Dementia Practitioners from Amada NorthShore who help create customized care plans for your family.
  • A personalized plan to help maintain independence for the client, while providing a safe and loving environment.
  • A recreation plan created for each individual based on the client’s interests and activities to help maintain and increase cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual abilities.
  • Social interaction and support, including games, discussion topics, and prompts.
  • Proactively addressing personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, medication reminders, and household maintenance.
  • Cognitive and reminiscence stimulation through guided storytelling.
  • Preemptive addressing of stressors.
  • Setting a positive mood for communication and interaction through body language and tone of voice.
  • Limiting distractions, easing frustration, and demonstrating patience for someone with memory care challenges.
