Our name is Gene and Abby. We live in CT and have an aunt and uncle who live in Naples, FL. They are 96 and 94 years old. He has difficulty walking and she has dementia. When their friend who was taking care of them suddenly passed away, we got an emergency call to get to FL ASAP. We found Amada Care who was a life saver. Their team lead by Stephanie Howard, operations manager, set up care in their home. They provided food shopping, meal preparation, bathing, housekeeping and other assistance. With their help we were able to return to CT knowing our aunt and uncle were well taken care of. We highly recommend Amada Senior Care to keep you or a family member safe and taken care of.
My dad is 88 and a cancer survivor and took a serious fall that broke his hip, among other injuries. Both my parents live over 1,300 miles from us so this really changed our lives. We needed help and had no idea where to find reliable, professional, and caring help. I was like a deer looking into the headlights as I frantically searched the internet with a very critical eye. I happened to find AMADA on the net and just called. David was very reassuring and offered us a very workable solution. I then met with their representative, Stephanie, and their nurse. They assessed my dad’s situation and put together a detailed game plan. Then came Darlene. Wasn’t sure how this was all going to go as my dad never had a caregiver before. In answer to my prayers, him and Darlene got along awesomely. She has been OUTSTANDING in all she did for my dad. I also appreciated the follow up Stephanie did with the situation. Thank you AMADA!!’
Amada Is Not Only Highly Professional, But Also Caring And Reliable
It is so hard to adequately put into words how much I appreciated you and the Amada staff’s help in caring for my parents. There were several agencies, several aides who did not work out along the way. Amada was the only agency and staff who truly had the professionalism, good communication and best care thru the years of care needed by my parents to “stay the course” thru the challenges. I will never forget that I could depend on all of you to rise to whatever issue that arose. NON stop efforts and truly sensitive care and consideration. Thank you all again, from the bottom of my heart. R.H.
Beginning in 2015 Amada Senior Care was requested to provide personal care for our aging Mother with multiple health care needs, including dementia and syncope issues, as she transitioned from independent living to assisted living. Amada Senior Care CNA's provided personal care and supervision for our Mother until she passed away in April 2019. During this time frame our Father also became increasingly ill and needed supportive services as well until he passed away in 2017. David Garrett, Jeanine Whitacre and Susan Cappozola interviewed each aide, did the necessary and required background checks and training before an aide was placed with our Mother. Several of their excellent aides worked more than three years providing excellent, compassionate & dependable care around the clock for our parents adapting to increasingly complex issues along the way. I recommend Amada Senior Care Services and Thank all of the staff for their dedication and sincerity. Being the only adult child living in Naples and the one responsible for organizing medical care for both parents while handling my own full time career and family responsibilities I relied on them daily to provide appropriate and compassionate care. I commend Amada for being organized, ready and able to deal with any situation that arose. Onsite local management 24/7 was critical to the successful provision of care for our parents. I will always remember this level of dedication. Thank YOU all.
We have used AMADA services for several years. The need came upon us quickly after inpatient rehabilitation for a broken hip in March 2016. We struggled to provide adequate care but soon realized the family was not equal to the task. After a referral by an insurance agent, we contacted AMADA Senior Care. Suddenly the fog cleared. The AMADA staff immediately launched into their assessment process, determined the needs, offered options, facilitated coordination with the long term care insurance provider and created a plan. A Herculean burden was lifted from our shoulders and we were able to resume a nearly normal life. The AMADA personnel from the administrators to the care givers were excellent, forward leaning and helpful from the beginning to the end. But even more, the folks from AMADA genuinely cared and became family friends. They gently provided suggestions to enhance my mother’s care and assisted with input to medical professionals. They aided in coordination with in home rehabilitation, nurses’ visits, doctors’ appointments, and even hair dresser visits. They quickly discerned my mother’s idiosyncrasies such as never using the dishwasher, handling her “fragile” washing machine and dryer and her old country food tastes. Without a doubt, mother and the AMADA staff became fast friends. When she could no longer recall names, she always recognized their smiling faces when they entered the house. When it became apparent that we could not maintain my 91 yr old mother at home, AMADA staff provided detailed and comprehensive recommendations for further care, which we heeded. Even now, after no longer providing services, AMADA staffers still visit with mother in her new care facility. I am sure there are more expensive care providers but none better. You cannot go wrong by employing their services. Without reservation, I highly recommend AMADA for your family needs.
My father was under the care of Amada beginning in December. It was right around the holidays and last minute. In spite of that, Amada came through and was able to take good care of my Dad at his home. The caregivers were wonderful with Dad and we all appreciated their efforts to keep Dad happy and comfortable. The Amada staff (David, Pam, and Daniela) were wonderful to work with and always took care of issues immediately. I highly recommend Amada if you are in need of care for a loved one.
I'm writing this review for my 93 year old friend and what we experienced during her transition of moving out of her home and going to an assistance living facility. It started out good, but turned into a nightmare. If it hadn't been for David and Pam intervening, I'm afraid to think what would have happened. With one email to both, they took action on the issues and got my friend the interview she needed and the proper forms to complete, which put her mind to rest. We're still in waiting on a final approval of the facility she chose, but have all confidence it will happen. If something should go wrong, I know that these two (2) qualified representatives of Amada will step in again. We are both so grateful for their help and guidance, their concern and ability to make things happen fast! I wish I could say or do more in their favor. Thank you David and Pam! You're the best!
My sister has been cared for by the Amada staff for over 2-1/2 years, and they continue to assist her as she transitions to a skilled nursing facility for memory care. As an Alzheimer's patient she has presented her share of challenges, but the care givers and administrators at Amada Senior Care have consistently been patient and caring with her. As with any long term care service, some care givers "matched" my sister's needs better than others. The administrators took the time to really get to know her and to pair her with care givers who suited her personality and specific needs. I live quite a distance from my sister, and I have learned that I can rely on the care givers to be there as expected. When I have had questions or concerns, the staff always has given generously of their time to address them thoroughly. This group of people has insight into the unique needs of Alzheimer's patients, and knowing they are responsible for my sister's care has given me tremendous peace of mind.
Caring for Alzheimer's clients is certainly a challenge which Amada gladly accepts with care and attention. Understanding and patiently addressing the evolving needs of our clients is our speciality. Also, helping remote family members stay in-touch is a key service aspect of Amada. We stand ready to assist seniors with Alzheimer's and other life challenges. Thank you!
Amada cared for my wife for almost two years. She had Alzheimer's and as her disease progressed, Amada was able to meet her changing needs, starting with home care during the day during which our wonderful care giver drove her to the Mall and to the beauty parlor in addition to taking her for walks, feeding her lunch, helping her bathe, dress and dealing with her incontinence. Her care giver was so sweet and loving that she became my wife's close friend and companion. When my wife moved to a memory care facility, I found that she needed extra care, and Amada adjusted their scheduling so that the same loving woman could care for her during the day and my wife could be with her good friend again, which was very reassuring to her. Ultimately, my wife needed extra care in the evenings and weekends, and once again Amada was able to provide another sweet and loving care giver for those additional hours. Amada has a registered nurse on staff, and she would visit my wife regularly to monitor her condition. While still at home, my wife had an emergency problem and when we called the nurse for advice, she came right out to our house and it was on a Sunday! When my wife passed away, her two care givers and the head of the Amada office even came to her funeral service. I cannot say enough about Amada other that I could not have gotten through the last two years without them! I would recommend them enthusiastically and without reservation.
Mr. E, it was our pleasure to serve your family. Best regards, Amada
