My experience working here was unacceptable. Management was consistently rude and dismissive, and reports of sexual harassment were ignored rather than addressed. Communication was poor, and there was a troubling lack of respect for both employees and residents. Leadership failed to create a safe, professional, or ethical work environment. I would strongly caution anyone considering employment here.
Amada Senior Care has the kindest caregivers I have come across and the office staff were very patient, and sweet. They were very informative and explained everything thoroughly. I no longer stress about who is going to be there for my mother. Thank you for all the support Amada!
I just had to share this story on how amazing these caregivers are via my mother who got her mom a caregiver. Not only do they do what’s asked of them but go beyond that! My moms couch was stained and we thought we would have to hire a professional to remove the stain, she asked the caregiver if she knew any tips and she did!! of course my mom asked if she could give it a go and reassured her if it didn’t work it’s not her fault. She did her thing and that stain was GONE ! Super amazing on her end this agency seriously has awesome caregivers !

Amada Senior Care has been everything I’ve needed! I’ve had a permanent care provider from the beginning who goes out of her way to make sure I don’t ever need for anything. With Amada I never go without the help I need. I would recommend 10 times out of 10! So professional and you can tell the providers love what they do! Finally I got a good care giver. This took about 16 or so different caregivers sent a different care giver each time. Now I am so happy for the great service before that I would have fired them but last time I did that it took 8 weeks of no service until Amada took over.
My mother developed dementia in her later years and needed night-time caregivers. As a result, our family contacted Amada Senior Care for overnight care, 70 hours per week. We were very pleased with the kindness and professionalism shown by ALL the caregivers, but I would like to especially praise Teresa M. Because of her dementia, Mama often believed that she was a victim of theft or was in physical danger. Consequently, she had an extremely hard time trusting anyone. It was a heartbreaking situation. Teresa was the answer to our prayers. My mother and Teresa immediately formed a strong bond, and Mama always looked forward to her visits. Teresa was unfailingly prompt, kind, resourceful and showed a genuine love for my mom. As Mama says, she was always busy, looking for things that needed to be done. When she wasn’t taking care of Mama’s physical needs, she sat with her and became her friend. Mama loved hearing stories about Teresa’s family and children, and Mama trusted her enough to share her own deepest fears and worries. There reached a point where Mama needed 24-hour care, and we sadly had to say goodbye to her caregivers at Amada. However, Teresa continued to visit Mama regularly, often taking her to lunch. Also, she regularly texted me, asking about Mama’s physical and emotional health. Teresa faithfully continued her friendship until my Mama died in late 2019. Teresa M, from Amada, brought joy, peace and contentment into my Mother’s life, and our family is sincerely grateful. She literally was a shining light in the darkness of my Mother’s illness. Our family gives the highest possible recommendation to Amada Senior Care.

How is Aid and Attendance Eligibility Determined?
1. Military Service
- A minimum of 90 days of active duty, with at least one of those days during wartime.
- Must not have been dishonorable discharged.
2. Personal Care Needs
- Applicant must currently require assistance with activities of daily living, such as walking, eating, toileting, or dressing.
3.Income
- Majority of applicant’s income must currently be spent on care expenses.
- The percentage of income currently spent on care will determine the benefits they receive.
4.Assets
- The VA will determine an acceptable threshold for applicants’ assets.
- Determination of financial assets will depend upon age and financial need.
How VA Aid and Attendance Benefits can Help You:
