Amada Senior Care Fort Worth was referred to Mr. Carter, a Veteran living alone in Franklin, Texas, with limited family nearby. When our caregiver arrived to provide care, they quickly identified several urgent needs. Mr. Carter is bedbound and was living with a pest issue, including bed bugs. He also lacked basic essentials such as clean clothes, fresh linens, hygiene supplies, and had no washer or dryer to manage laundry.

Our Fort Worth team stepped in right away—arranging for his home to be treated, providing multiple sets of bed sheets, new clothing, personal care supplies, and delivering a working washer and dryer directly to his home.

Our staff RN also identified the need for a Hoyer lift to safely transfer Mr. Carter from bed to his power chair or the shower. Amada Fort Worth has since contacted the Central Texas VA Community Care Network to begin the process of getting this essential equipment through VA benefits.
