On Across the Valley, Brooke Fernandez spoke with Greg Forsyth, owner of Amada Senior Care in Bakersfield, about the growing need for senior-care services in Kern County. They discussed how Amada Senior Care helps seniors remain safely and comfortably in their homes through non-medical in-home care, companionship, dementia and Alzheimer’s support, veterans’ assistance, long-term care insurance guidance, and senior housing placement services. The conversation focused on resources available to caregivers, challenges facing aging adults, and ways families can navigate senior-care decisions with confidence.

💙 Connecting with Seniors at Brookdale Riverwalk’s Health Fair

Amada Senior Care Bakersfield was honored to participate in the Health Fair at Brookdale Riverwalk today!

Events like these provide a wonderful opportunity to connect with seniors, families, and fellow community partners while sharing valuable resources and information that can help older adults live safely, comfortably, and confidently. We truly enjoy being part of gatherings that bring people together and promote health, wellness, and support for our local senior community.

Oktoberfest Bingo

We had a wonderful time with our dear friends at Columbus Estates Senior Living in Bakersfield for their festive Oktoberfest Bingo celebration! The afternoon was filled with laughter, friendly competition, delicious treats, and plenty of smiles as residents gathered together to enjoy the fun. 🍂🍁

We were thrilled to bring along some “sweet” prizes, festive goodies, and a little extra Oktoberfest cheer to make the day even more special. From exciting bingo wins to heartwarming conversations, every moment reminded us how important community, connection, and creating joyful experiences are for our seniors.

A huge thank you to the incredible residents and staff for their warm welcome and enthusiastic spirit. We always cherish the opportunity to spend time with such an amazing community and help create lasting memories that will be treasured long after the final bingo card was called.
