Amada Senior Care Anchorage

In-Home Senior Care in Anchorage, and Surrounding Areas

Caring for others has always been more than a career choice for me—it’s part of who I am and the legacy I’ve inherited.

Service has shaped my life from an early age. I proudly served as an Army officer, including combat deployments, where I learned the importance of leadership, compassion under pressure, and putting the needs of others before my own. Those experiences taught me that the greatest responsibility we can have is caring for people during life’s most challenging moments.

During my military service, I had the privilege of serving as Vice President of Logistics for the Special Olympics World Games. In that role, I worked alongside an incredible community dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It reinforced my belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and individualized care.

Amada Helps Veterans Fund Care

Non-medical caregiving for U.S. veterans includes a range of supportive services that enhance their daily lives and overall well-being. This can involve assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and companionship to combat loneliness. Caregivers can also provide emotional support, help with managing schedules, and offer respite care for family members. Additionally, they may assist with errands, mobility support, and engaging veterans in social and recreational activities to promote a sense of community and purpose. These services ensure that veterans maintain their independence while receiving the care and attention they deserve.

Education has also been an important part of my journey. I earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree, with my graduate studies focusing on senior care and the unique challenges facing our aging population. My education provided me with the knowledge to understand not only the clinical and operational aspects of senior care but also the emotional and personal needs of older adults and their families.

Perhaps most importantly, caring for others runs deep in my family. My mother dedicated her career as a nurse. Her mother served her community as a midwife. Before them, both my great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather were physicians. For generations, my family has answered the call to care for people during every stage of life. Continuing that tradition is both an honor and a responsibility that I take seriously.

I founded this senior care agency because I believe every older adult deserves to age with dignity, independence, and compassion. Families should have confidence that their loved ones are treated with the same respect, patience, and kindness we would expect for our own family members.

When you choose us, you’re not simply choosing a care provider—you are choosing a team built on a lifelong commitment to service, leadership, education, and compassionate care. It is our privilege to serve your family and help your loved ones live safely, comfortably, and with the dignity they deserve.
