The event was a wonderful gathering of local healthcare advocates, community leaders, and senior care professionals. It was a privilege to mingle, share ideas, and celebrate half a decade of the incredible care The Laurels team provides to guests recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.

We want to extend a massive thank you to Haylee Ratliff, the Director of Admissions and Marketing at The Laurels, for hosting such a fantastic event. Haylee’s dedication to ensuring families feel welcome and supported during complex medical transitions is truly inspiring. The entire team at this Ciena Healthcare community went above and beyond to make the anniversary a memorable one!

The “Rehab-to-Home” Connection 

Events like this are a great reminder of why local partnerships matter. When seniors complete their physical therapy or short-term rehab at a top-tier facility like The Laurels, the next step—transitioning back home—is critical.

At Amada Senior Care West Columbus OH, we believe that providing exceptional in-home senior care starts with building strong, genuine relationships right here in our local Central Ohio neighborhoods. Recently, Abhi and Ginny had the wonderful opportunity to attend the monthly luncheon hosted by the Seniors of West Jefferson OH.

The event, held right in the heart of town at 174 E Main St, West Jefferson, OH 43162, was a fantastic gathering filled with great conversation, festive Valentine’s Day decorations, and a vibrant sense of community. We were thrilled to sit down with so many wonderful Madison County residents and learn more about what matters most to the seniors in this area.

During the luncheon, we had the pleasure of connecting with the organization’s local leadership, including President Candace Hudson and Secretary/Event Committee Coordinator Belinda Ewing. They do an incredible job of bringing people together, fostering friendships, and organizing engaging activities for the West Jefferson senior community.

Abhi also had the chance to address the attendees, sharing his vision for Amada’s role in the Greater Columbus area. He discussed our core services and, most importantly, how our team can help support the local community by providing compassionate in-home caregivers, navigating complex long-term care insurance claims, and advocating for seniors’ needs so they can age safely in place.

Looking Ahead: Join Us in West Jefferson This Summer! We are already looking forward to our next community event! During the meeting, we discussed participating in the upcoming West Jefferson local craft show planned for June 6th, 2026. We are excited to set up a booth, see everyone there, and continue finding new ways to support and engage with our neighbors.

Recently, our Amada team had the privilege of sitting down for a strategic collaborative care session with the incredible Social Services team at Majestic Care of Columbus, a premier skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in the Franklinton area.

We want to extend a very special, heartfelt thank you to Teresa Williams, the facility’s dedicated Social Service Assistant. Teresa’s passion for patient advocacy and her instrumental support in organizing this collaboration was truly inspiring. Her commitment—along with the entire Social Services leadership team to going above and beyond for their residents aligns perfectly with our mission at Amada.

The “Hospital-to-Home” Initiative

During our meeting, we discussed how Amada can act as a direct extension of the Majestic Care team the moment a patient is discharged. We collaborated on a streamlined “Rapid Referral” process designed to close the gap in care during the vulnerable first 48 hours at home.

By coordinating our background-checked caregivers and our Long-Term Care Insurance experts directly with Majestic Care’s discharge planners, we can help:

• Prevent hospital readmissions through dedicated safety supervision.
• Ensure immediate, 24/7 care availability for complex discharges.
• Provide families with clear “Transition Checklists” so they feel supported, not overwhelmed.
