Former Employee Experience I would strongly caution anyone considering employment with Amada Senior Care. As a caregiver, I entered this position committed to providing safe, compassionate care to vulnerable elderly clients. Unfortunately, I experienced serious concerns regarding communication, professionalism, and employee support from management. There was little to no communication from leadership regarding scheduling or employment status. I was removed from the company system without notification or explanation, effectively being terminated without professional courtesy or transparency. More concerning, when legitimate safety and care concerns were raised involving a client’s wellbeing and family conduct, those concerns were not properly addressed. Instead of investigating or supporting the caregiver advocating for patient safety, management chose to remove me from employment. Caregivers are placed in emotionally and physically demanding environments and deserve clear communication, fair treatment, and management willing to stand behind ethical care practices. That was not my experience here. I believe both employees and clients deserve better accountability, professionalism, and respect than what I witnessed during my time with this company. I would recommend future employees document everything and carefully consider whether this organization truly supports caregivers or prioritizes avoiding conflict.

I have been so incredibly impressed with Amada Senior Care. Here’s their deal in a nutshell- fantastic sitting service and so much more! Their caregivers do so much more than sitting – they helped us with bathing, dressing, some continence, keeping the house clean, cooking meals, and providing genuine companionship. I could tell each of our two caregivers really cared. And then there is the overall operation – the owners are great and super helpful especially in exploring how we could use VA benefits and best use our long-term care insurance. We got some of the most practical, insightful and directly useful information from them. The entire Staff is awesome, patient, and really worked with us to help adjust to having someone in the home and find us our two “angels.” Highly recommend for in-home care and general expertise.

I’ve been so impressed with Amada! I had heard from friends and family in Birmingham that they were amazing, and they are! The staff is so nice, helpful, and friendly. Their expertise has been invaluable as I learn from them more about Long Term Care insurance and VA-funded care. I definitely recommend Amada as the best home care around!
