Meet John & Melissa Boodhansingh
John and Melissa Boodhansingh both come from large families and grew up with grandparents living with them. They watched their parents struggle to juggle jobs, kids, and parent care. “Due to distance, job, and other obligations, families today are unable to be present at all times,” they share. “We are grateful for the opportunity to make a positive difference by assisting elders and their families. Eligibility Requirements
Military Service
90+ days active duty with at least one day during wartime. Honorable discharge required.
Personal Care Needs
Currently requires help with daily activities such as walking, eating, toileting, or dressing.
Income & Assets
Majority of income spent on care expenses. The VA determines acceptable asset thresholds based on age and need.
