Meet Lisa Capista
Lisa Capista, owner of Amada Senior Care Plainfield, came to senior care through deeply personal experience. She grew up caring for both grandmothers and watched her one grandmother spend her final days at home, surrounded by the family who loved her—and she saw what a difference that made. When her husband’s 103-year-old grandmother broke her hip and returned home with 24/7 caregivers, the turnaround was remarkable. “My goal is to help families make in-home care an option for as many seniors in our community as possible,” says Lisa.

Military Service
90+ days active duty with at least one day during wartime. Honorable discharge required.
Personal Care Needs
Currently requires help with daily activities such as walking, eating, toileting, or dressing.
Income & Assets
Majority of income spent on care expenses. The VA determines acceptable asset thresholds based on age and need.
