Hospice Caregiving<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

When a senior loved one is facing a limited life expectancy, family members often are thrust into the role of caregiver with little preparation or knowledge. Rely on Amada NorthShore to support your loved one and family during the hospice care journey.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hospice care is a wonderful program to support quality end-of-life care. When your loved one enters hospice, the Amada NorthShore Hospice Care Team will provide a weekly nurse visit, along with single visits from a social worker and a clergy member. An hour-long bath may be provided, as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Often home care needs to be maintained during hospice. For assistance with bathing, toileting, dressing, transferring, medications, meals, or other non-medical assistance, you can rely on your Amada NorthShore in-home caregiver to perform any or all of these tasks and more, as necessary. We will customize the care schedule to what best fits the needs of a loved one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amada also assists families with financial care coordination by managing claims for clients who are Long-Term Care insurance (LTCi) policyholders, qualifying senior veterans who are eligible for VA benefits, and identifying other financial resources for our clients who are in hospice. We partner with many hospice companies throughout the NorthShore, Chicago, and Western Suburbs, and we consider it our calling and privilege to provide end-of-life care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amada NorthShore provides special training for all of their caregivers who work with older adults and seniors in hospice. We provide care management support for families and collaborate closely with our caregivers at your home to ensure clients are experiencing maximum comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
