At the beginning I had such high hopes for this company, especially with Jason’s help. But, we ended up with a bunch of unprofessional caregivers. They were always on their phones, neglecting their duties, even falling asleep while watching my grandma! And to top it off, they had the audacity to use my grandma’s personal iPad for inappropriate material. On top of that, they’d send texts saying they’d be late every single day. One time, they didn’t even bother waking my grandma up so they could just FaceTime on their shift. Every time I complained, they’d just send a new person who had the same issues. It was a never-ending cycle. So, unfortunately, I had to switch companies. It’s a bummer, but I had to do what’s best for my grandma’s well-being. Lastly we were almost overcharged $800 for the last invoice, but I caught it.
Professional. Communicative with a caring staff. They are efficient about getting back with you. My dad enjoyed the care takers with whom he interacted.
Caring and compassionate as well as very professional and knowledgeable. They took such good care of my father and the caregivers were also in tune to our feelings as well as to his needs.
My family needed help. and I had a tough time trusting anyone with my family’s well-being. I’m so glad I trusted Amada. They’ve saved my mother and myself so much time. Gemill, our caretaker, has been a God send. My grandmother is strong willed and stubborn. Yet Gemill has been patient and understanding every single day. When our dad went to The Harrison for therapy after a fall, he was very weak and confused. We needed help at night to keep him safe from falling again. Quality care from amazing people! If you are looking for caregivers who know what they are doing, do their job with compassion and joy, this is the place! My elderly father had several fractures in his pelvis and lower back. The caregivers took amazing care of him and advocated for his care at a skilled nursing facility. This company and their employees are 10/10!! Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough great things about Amada and the owner Jason. We appreciate all the hard work he and his staff have spent as we provide home care for my mother. The stability of having someone on a daily basis gives us great peace of mind, knowing that my mother, who is dealing with Parkinson’s and dementia, will be safe while I’m hundreds of miles away in NY where I currently live. Every hurdle that we’ve encountered throughout the claims process and throughout my mother’s care has been resolved quickly and efficiently. Interesting story, many months ago, I called and started the claim process for my mother through her health care policy. I was on a short visit from NY and I called right before I left for the airport from my mother’s house. I heard from Jason while I was taking off less than an hour later. Super prompt.
We have had Amada as our source for support with our 84 yo mother since early 2022. Jason patiently walked us through the initial process and has been quickly responsive ever since. Belinda (scheduler) is communicative and kind when I call/text with a confirmation or question. The caregivers are knowledgeable, experienced, and each has her own strengths – endearing us to them as they do all the hard work of caring for our mother. Since the current caregiver (Yvonne ) has been with her, we have noticed an improvement in our mother’s cognitive functioning (increased recall, improved appetite, improved mood and more quick witted like she used to be). The caregiver’s steady calm engagement with her has made a noticeable difference. We are very grateful for the work Amada does – it enables us to simply enjoy our mother and not worry.
Being prepared by purchasing a LTC policy for our parents has been one of the best investments that could have been made. You don’t think much about it, until the time comes when you find yourself in a position where you need to utilize the benefits. With so many LTC companies to chose from, I am so grateful and our family has been beyond blessed to have Amada Senior Care provide services to our family. We spent many hours researching and narrowing down providers; and the clear choice was Amada! Specifically Jason, the owner, has made the claim initiation process easy to understand. He personally visits my parents home on a regular basis to check in and make sure everything is running smoothly, we aren’t having any issues, and we dont have any questions. He and his staff work as a team to ensure each client feels like their “only client”. Jason and his team work tirelessly to ensure their clients needs are met; claim processes and recertifications are handled properly! We live in a remote area and for him to take the time to visit at least once per month is very reassuring. We know our LTC policy is in good hands and more importantly, our parents are in excellent hands. We have had the honor of being able to have the same care giver in our home, which has proved to be very important. Judy is definitely a part of our family and takes excellent care of our parents, communicates and coordinates with us for any and every need they have. She has been instrumental in any progress made, and the care she provides our parents is amazing! Unfortunately, there was a short period of time where we had to use a different LTC company due to our location. Without being too specific about the experience we had with this other provider, I will just say that the moment we were able to contact Jason and switch our provider was a huge relief and life got back to normal. I can’t say enough great things about how much we appreciate all the hard work the helpers and staff have given us as we care for my mother at home and making that possible. The stability of having the same aide Gemmil weekly gives us the time we need to ourselves for work and life to balance the needs of keeping our loved one home with us as long as possible. While dealing with a hemiplegic stroke victim with dementia is physically and emotionally draining, having Amada there is a life saver. The flexibility of scheduling around our needs by Belinda and the rest of the staff for extra “one-offs” and occasional last minute additional assistance has been spectacular. - Must not have been dishonorable discharged.
2. Personal Care Needs
- Applicant must currently require assistance with activities of daily living, such as walking, eating, toileting, or dressing.
3.Income
- Majority of applicant’s income must currently be spent on care expenses.
- The percentage of income currently spent on care will determine the benefits they receive.
4.Assets
- The VA will determine an acceptable threshold for applicants’ assets.
- Determination of financial assets will depend upon age and financial need.
